It seems like none of you understand anger, especially in a someone damaged at childhood. As much as he hated violence, he didn't know too many other ways to express his anger. He didn't like it, but it was what he knew. When he felt like there was nothing else to do (and obviously there are plenty of ways), he reverted back to what he knew. Someone emotionally damaged won't think logically when enraged. It doesn't make him a monster. He's a victim, just not in the whole Rihanna deal.

@SpeterMan3 I went through therapy for episodes of rage and anger management. Step one is to own up to what you did and accept responsibility for what happened. He was a victim of what happened to him. He made Rihanna a victim of himself. There is no room for saying he is a victim and leave it at that. He was only 19 when it happened. He reacted, as well, from a level of immaturity. Hopefully, we can all learn that this is not the way to act and he will not repeat these actions.

@steffikaysince1996 I have a theory: going through something really traumatic will effect you one way or the other, but not always immediately. I think that Chris suffered from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) the day he hurt Rihanna. They had a bad fight and somehow that opened up that worm can and he snapped. You're right, he should have known better. From what I've heard, he's doing better. He had a year of counseling (anger management class).

It seems like none of you understand anger, especially in a someone damaged at childhood. As much as he hated violence, he didn't know too many other ways to express his anger. He didn't like it, but it was what he knew. When he felt like there was nothing else to do (and obviously there are plenty of ways), he reverted back to what he knew. Someone emotionally damaged won't think logically when enraged. It doesn't make him a monster. He's a victim, just not in the whole Rihanna deal.

@SpeterMan3 I went through therapy for episodes of rage and anger management. Step one is to own up to what you did and accept responsibility for what happened. He was a victim of what happened to him. He made Rihanna a victim of himself. There is no room for saying he is a victim and leave it at that. He was only 19 when it happened. He reacted, as well, from a level of immaturity. Hopefully, we can all learn that this is not the way to act and he will not repeat these actions.

@SpeterMan3 Well i experienced violence growing up and i didn't turn out like that. I know plenty of people that had a lot worse than me growing up, but they turned out perfectly fine as well. At the end of the day, Chris Brown may have grown up with difficulties but that is still no excuse for what he did. Many, many, many people experience worse and thay can turn out 1000% times better. He is still a low life in my books. Most people can control themself, he needs to learn to do the same.

@steffikaysince1996 I have a theory: going through something really traumatic will effect you one way or the other, but not always immediately. I think that Chris suffered from PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) the day he hurt Rihanna. They had a bad fight and somehow that opened up that worm can and he snapped. You're right, he should have known better. From what I've heard, he's doing better. He had a year of counseling (anger management class).

For all of you who keep talking about the whole thing with Rhianna, this is probably why he did it. When a child at a young age is shown at a young age such violence, then later in life they tend to do the same thing. So its not all his fault, but i also heard that Rhianna abused him too and hit him with a heel.
