Wow, that's got to be one of the few Skyrides left that doesn't force riders to get off at the turnaround point. We've got one here at Busch Gardens Africa in Tampa, FL as well. I know it was built by Vonroll in 67 or 69 but I'm not shure of the model number. WDW used to have one in the Magic Kingdom park, but they ripped theirs out for some reason in the 90's.
We always use to ride it as kids! Aw, what memories! We use to go over to the Atlantis restaurant for dinner. (We always had lunch at the Hawaiian Village) Thanks!
It's a big shame that swiss regulators and ride owners don't want to save at least one VR-101 in the country they were invented. Hope yours is going to be there for a few more years.
they are both amasing in there own way.i just think the seaworld vonroll skyride is more amasing because its the only one to go over salt water, longest span, the heaviest built.40 years old.not bad.thanks for the comments...i can tell you like the old vonroll skyrides.very cool
This classic Vonroll is now FREE to ride!!Thank You Seaworld!!

I think the one at the world famous San Diego Zoo is more amazing than the one at that sea place. Can u name all the VR-101 Sky rides in the U.S?
