were these contestants? or "real" dancers performing for the show? because this dance is amazzzzzeeeeballs, the judges would have eaten this shizzz right up.
@nally16728 contestants. Hok actually auditioned for season 19 but was ruled out bec he didn't have his green card finalized yet. they gave him a pass for the following year provided he had his card in order.
@nally16728 you could hear hearts audibly breaking from the judge's table all the way to the farthest row of the television audience - it was quite devastating.
Jaimie Goodwin is absolutely the most talented dancer in the show's history. This routine is so much more difficult than it looks - she makes it seem effortless. Amazing!
My favorite dance ever on sytycd. I still remember it from a few years back. His eye makeup and the sharp hummingbird movements stick in my mind. The music is mystical, haunting, and delicate.
This dance is actually my favourite dance I have ever seen on the show. I remember watching it on TV and everytime i watch it again i fall in love with dance all over. I havent watched recent SYTYCD seasons because, while I'm sure all the dances are beautiful, in my opinion nothing with ever measure up to this dance. Absolutely enchanting.
I love the dance it's a beautiful piece of art but me being a music lover can't help but close my eyes and just listen. Both beautiful and compliment and grow off each other. LOVE this.
Wade Robson is brilliant! I always get goosebumps every time I watch this, I'm not sure if any other routine on SYTYCD can do the same thing to me, but I'm still, even now waiting for another routine to do the same inpacting beatiful brilliants as this one did.
this was my favorite routine from SYTYCD ever and always wondered if someone had posted it on Youtube. its such a treasure and I dont even like dance like this. I added this to my favorites. thank you!
This is the most amazing and memorable piece of dance that I have ever seen. I majored in dance in college and this really touched me deeply because it is very similar to the spirit and coreography that i did at the time. 30 years ago.I'm coming from a break dance/house culture and studying ballet, modern and jazz in NYC. this stuff was cutting edge at the time. Not today of course.
@hyungahh I'm just now learning about the show through youtube clips! is season seven still going? what time and channel? if you answer thanx in advance :)
sorry, the link doesn't work on youtube. just go to alloshowtv com and then just search so you think you can dance. there you'll be able to watch the season seven
I personally loved this dance. The reason why I think some people don't appreciate it is because it's an abstract piece it's not a story based dance. Wade Robinson probably imitated what he saw from an environment and put a dance together that resembled the movement of birds
although it doesnt have an event or a struggle to provoke viewers' emotions, this piece was just absolutely STUNNING to watch. i got goosebumps every time i watch this dance. it's simple (a flower and a bird) thus artistic. For me, this piece tops every other dance on sytycd (even all Mia michael's)
I think what's really interesting about this piece is that it is not portraying a human relationship, and that makes it all the more abstract and mysterious.
This a prime example of how music, dance, lighting, concept can be brought together to create a truely vivid and moving experience.
I've seen A LOT of dances, and this dance is one of the most memorable, artistically ingenious, breathtaking works I have ever seen. I wish it was made into a longer dance and done for dance on film.
AMEIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Esta careografia é o máximo da sensibilidade!!! Não tem como ver e não se sensibilizar....Maravilhoso
dances like these only come once in a great while. this is timeless, elegant, and beautiful. i still remember this dance because of its such beauty and elegance
Hok nearly made it to the final twenty, but had only a student visa and was unable to be legally employed in the United States, which resulted in his dismissal from the program. Then, he obtained a work permit and became eligible to participate in the competition in season three
Ryan Conferido (season 1 contestant) and Dominic Sandova (season 3) are also members of Quest Crew!
He also participated in Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel as a hip-hop dancer

@refrmcetsryt Actually, I think you're right. Though this dance doesn't strike as much emotion into me as my other favourite on the show-Gravity- it may be the most artistic one I've ever seen. And maybe will ever exist!!!!!!

How lucky are Jamie and Hok; that they may not have won SYTYCD, but may be known for one of the best choreographed miniature dances ever, maybe in history. It's not too much. It's not too little. It isn't too fast, nor too slow. Yet it's fast and slow in all the right places. It's simply sublime.
