@TheAndiePerson He never really was the bad guy in the first place. The 1st Soul Reaver depicted him that way so you could feel the treachery Raziel went through. Very useful in motivating people to finish the game lol
The Heart was in the Sarafan Stronghold after Sarafan Raziel tore it from Janos' chest. Mortanius, as one of the pillar Guardians, had access to it, and used it to create Kain. Moebius' staff targeted (we later find out, when it fails to work on Kain) a vampire's heart, so when Kain lost the Heart of Darkness, Moebius lost the ability to affect him.
i fear its less clear than that. when moebius meets raziel in SR2, the wraith blade banishes cuz of the effect of the staff. I think its an issue they needed to be ambiguous
U are right :) First we meet Kain as young Vampire and than we know story of him than, when kain became powerfull he destroys Raziel and Raziel wats his revenge. But i do not understand the storyline in defiance. Its like something is missing like how it happend that Raziel is hurt laying before The Elder God And also how it becomes that Kain chases Moebious. I`d like to know those things.

Chronologically, the whole series is a mishmash because of the time travel, but Defiance results in Janos being possessed by the freed Hylden Lord, which is what leads to the freed Hylden Lord being able to use Janos to power The Device in BO2.
@Joudas : i think that BO2 is quasi another alternative.. I dont think it fits to the whole SR series... there are many mistakes in BO2.. I think that defiance is the last - the ending :) .. By the way - its really nice that you put all cutscences from defiance here in youtube :D .. i d like to watch it so much ^.^
yes but quantum460 is right, this is their first meeting in all history, of course moebius knows kain from what he has done in the future history of nosgoth. But apparently he says that line just to play with Kain's "temporal point of view" his is not relevant for him in this speech.
I own the german version and I must say, that this is one of the few games with good german voice acting, but I still prefer the english version. Mainly because Richard Doyle did the voice acting for Moebius, that´s awesome.
Also liked him as Pius Augustus in Eternal Darkness :)
That depends. If it's the first few games and out of print and the game is no longersold by the company, then pirating is no problem. If it's new, then yeah you should porbably buy it.
Nothing wrong with that wonder you gave you a thumb down...no LOK fan doesn't not want to maul Moebeius unfortunately....we lack the ability to phase through screens but don't worry I'm working on it ^_^ lol.
if done correctly..problem is it's cool when you play it...but if they made a movie they'd try to recreate the gameplay experience not the plot experience..so it'd be like watching someone else play which would be boring right?...Which is why movies made out of games tend to fail.
Moebius at his best taking advantage of this moment with his nemesis.

The model for Kain in this game is the best of all of them. Even better than the CG versions of the previous games. Kain ftw ^,..,^

But then Moebius is killed in BLood omen, so now he is ALIVE?? Kain is OLDER now then he was YOUNG so it makes NO SENSE

I own the german version and I must say, that this is one of the few games with good german voice acting, but I still prefer the english version. Mainly because Richard Doyle did the voice acting for Moebius, that´s awesome.

This series was one of the best. Mainly due to its eye towards plot. Surprising this game was more of a story than a fighting game.
Much better plot than RPG developed so far

You might try amazon dot com - Defiance is still widely available, as is SR2. The earlier ones may require resorting to ebay.

if done correctly..problem is it's cool when you play it...but if they made a movie they'd try to recreate the gameplay experience not the plot experience..so it'd be like watching someone else play which would be boring right?...Which is why movies made out of games tend to fail.
