hi thats were i go belmont track i go in the bowl aswell m8 i think i saw you one day someone had a tmaxx and there friend had a tamiya buggy broken and your glow plug ran out i lent yu mine i had a small truck i might be mistaken cool litle track msg bac
How much better is the hyper 7 to the rex x because i have a rex x with a hyper 7, 8 port engine in it and its damn fast but i was just wondering if there was any point in getting a hyper 7
Well thats a hard question, the rex-x is a great buggy and with a better engine then the sock one in it would be even more great, but the hyper 7 is a lot tougher, the layouts better to work on and handles a bit better aswell. So i would say if you can come across a hyper 7 with a good race engine in it (not stock engine and stay anyway from aluminuim A arms aswell if you crash it, it will cause more damage then the stock ones) go for it you will not regret it :)
Thanks for the advice i will keep an eye out for a good deal ^^ and thanks for the advice on the advice on the Aluminium A arms, you seem to know a fair bit more than i do, i just need to find a good place to drive my Monster GT and rex x, because there is nothing decent close to where i live :( once again thank you
i think it's a good car, not as strong as the hyper but is a great car for beginners and if i get around to buying the opital parts it should be even better :)
The track is just outside of durham city, it's just a bike track but it's good for cars aswell. And with which one you should g, if your a beginner go with the 21 not as fast but a lot easier to tune but the 28 is a good engine, but if your up for a good set up what i would do is get a rolling chassis and get a rb 21 or something along those lines.
I think the rex x comes from somewhere like Taiwan but i could be wrong. Now the fail safe is a little chip that you put in-between the throttle servo and the receiver and what i does is when the car loses radio contact or energy from the batteries it well cut the throttle and put on the brakes. All my cars have one in and i would never go out with out 1 in them something that is cheap to buy could save u hundreds in repairs. Hope that's helped u out :)
You can buy them at any good rc hobbie shop and i would say your looking to pay around $20 and up depending on the make, sorry the other message isn't on here press remove instead of reply.
you really need a failsafe for something that just costs a £10 up it could save you £££ in damages if it ever loses radio contact or the batteries run out i just got my failsafes of ebay venom ones are the ones i go for
i hv a nitro sport as well but it wasnt running when i did the vids i was fiting a new engine that wasn't ment for it but i got it in a megatec 16 they a a gd truck fun to drive
i live about 10 mins away from this i just never remembered it lol how stupid of me ill give it a bash there soon once the weather brightens up as it is very damp and rainy..
I do like the RB engines the t-maxx has a RB323 in it and nothing comes close to it's performance but they are expensive so i might just go for the go engine and thanks again for the info
you only need a EFRA approved pipe if you want to race in proper competitions, like a nation or international event. Also hypers come as standard with an EFRA approved pipe. Also same with the engine, you only need to comply with rules at your track, nothing else
i have a EFRA pipe i got of ebay for £2.69 lol and i can race with my .28 engine at the track but to race in national level i need a .21 engine but i'll get one when the .28 comes to the end of it's days lol
Well a RC track has been built near me so im planning on racing but not competitively just yet because then i would have to get a .21 engine and a racing approved pipe for my hyper and that will cost a bit the chassis parts a carbon fiber and graphite so thats up to race spec but at the moment im just bashing.
Well at the moment i'm running in both my buggy 5000,7000,1000 wt oil in the front centre and rear diffs with a 14tooth clutch bell and he likes that set up so i'm just going to leave it or he'll complain lol when he gets the hang of things i'll tweak it a bit like i have done with my hyper performance pipe and so on.
have you put the 2-speed conversion in? with that engine it means you will have more top end but loose bottom end (compared to the force .21 that comes with the buggy) so to componsate (spelling) for the loss of bottom end i would put in the 2-speed conversion
well the thing is if i put a 2 speed in it a loss the centre diff so the handing will be affected the bottom end isn't that bad it'll keep up with my hyper.28 from a standing start and my bro is using the buggy learn on so i don't what it to nippy even tho it is lol

having heaps of fun with it, already macked it into a goal post at top speed, that was good for it. what does a fail safe do?

turnaroundgohome 4 years ago
well if money aint a problem then get a RB C6. You get excellent RB quality and performance (over 50,000rpm) and nothing idles like an RB
bourney2007 4 years ago
I do like the RB engines the t-maxx has a RB323 in it and nothing comes close to it's performance but they are expensive so i might just go for the go engine and thanks again for the info
kyconic44 4 years ago
when you do get a .21 go for the GO .21 7-port, i have this and for £120 it's ace, has excellent pinch and awesome compression. I can't fault it
bourney2007 4 years ago
thanks for that i needed some advise on a engine i'll look in to it
kyconic44 4 years ago

sounds like a good set-up that does. You do any racing or just bashing?
bourney2007 4 years ago

oh right. Well if he's learning on it then why not make the diff fluid a little thicker and gear it down
bourney2007 4 years ago

great vid. All 3 are ace cars. I've owned a rex-x and it the nuts for newbies :)
bourney2007 4 years ago
The rex-x's do fly that one on the vid tho has a force .25 engine in it and it's even more nuts and more money on to spend on tyres as well lol
