now if i can only find a store that has Black bean paste, no asian grocery stores of any kind around here, maybe i should start by asking a japanese/chinese restaurant if they know where they get theirs? :D
Thank you Castaway on the Moon(김씨표류기) For introducing me to this deliciousness! And to you for inspiring me to make it. 감사합니다! Making it for my family this week.
I never thought I could fall in love with a meal, till I met this one lol. I'm going to try this!!! I learned to make the black bean paste, a Haitian woman showed me how and I got addicted to it.
I'm already a subscriber, but I think I love this video. I can't wait to make this one day, I just need all the ingredients. I like your placement of text over your speech so we can understand, but I knew you said, pour into the "Pan" when you may have said "fan". anyways, hope your still putting out videos..
I eat it once in a korean restaurant and it taste like heaven!!! I know that it's common that the jajang sauce is really liquidity, but how does you make it so the jajang sauce would be a really thicker than the original?? I love eating this with kimchi and boil eggs. :)
@LoverGothicGaaraKai If you wanna make the sauce more liquid, you can simply add more water :) I just like eating Jajangmyeon with thick sauce. Thank you :)

I'm sorry, I don't know exactly what you mean 'black bean and garlic sauce'.
Black bean paste is the most important ingredient for making this dish. So if the sauce you have isn't paste, you can get it in Asian grocery store. In addition, you might be able to fine pre-made Jajangmyeon sauce as well :)
@mathletics09 Sorry please don't use instant noodles. Instant noodles are easily cut because instant noodles have less chewy texture than this thick white noodles :)
@gakaotaku09 I used spaghetti noodles by curiosity before, and it turned out not quite good. First of all the noodles is too hard and it isn't covered with sauce properly:) So please use white flat noodles:)
@KFoodAddict oh my thank you for the reply, i'll definitively try this someday. and I love all your videos. Happy to see more in the future. :D happy holidays!! :D
Because of famous korean drama in our country I tried to eat instant jajangmyeon its available in grocery store, korean food has a section where I bought Instant noodles of jajangmyeon, It taste burnt, a bit bitter, Is it really taste like that?......by the way I checked the instructions at the back but its in korean so I just follow the picture.......
Hey dear... just wondering if u have the time and if u don't mind... need to ask u something... how can I make it spicy ( like really hot) without spoiling the taste too much? and is beef or chicken a better replacement for pork (for this meal) ? =)
@lovetterose Hello:-) You can add chopped chilli or chilli oil for spiciness. But not chilli paste as it's salty as well. For substitution of pork, you can use chicken. I think beef is quite tough, so Iprefer chicken ;-)
Actually I made Jajangmyeon with chilli and chicken the other day, it was so good! Try it :-D
@KFoodAddict Thanks so much for telling me Chloe...I was just thinking of chilli paste... don't wanna spoil the taste! Gonna try it when I have the time. God bless u! :D
@pyroprince78 Yes, you can use corn flour, wheat flour or rice flour as well. But starch powder and corn flour are used more than rice one :-) And when you substitute cornstarch(flour) for wheat flour, use half as much as called for in your recipe.
i have blackbean paste resting in the fridge for quite a while,i was just too scared to use it and mess the dish up.lol but i really want to try jajangmyeon so i think i'll finally try making this!
You know what Chloe, I have always wondered why this noodle has got black color... ahhhh... so it's because of the black bean paste...kkk I gotta go to Manila to buy that...T.T
@redarrow85 yeah, as soon as I added the black bean paste, all ingredients turned black:-P Have a safe trip to Manila. (sometimes, I miss Manila coz I always had delicious mango when I was studying there;-D I think Philippine mango and pineapple are the best in the world! )
@BaboCookieMonster Thank you. I also used to have instant Jajangmyeon before, but it was always not enough for me who is a big eater :-P Now, I can enjoy it at home as much as I want haha.
@annapeipe Thanks:-) Use thick white noodles like Japanese Udon noodles which has chewy texture. Yesterday, I just tried Jajangmyeon with pasta noodles by curiosity. And it wasn't good haha:-P
