  • Now I know why they canceled this show, it wasn't funny at all.

  • I am a Christian I Love Frank Zappa

    Paradox in terms

  • But I have the Crystal Ball

  • Frank Zappa was a pompous ass.

  • @DA90027 & What does that make you?

  • @DA90027 Well, he's the typical Luciferian

  • 2:41 Wow! A washer and dryer that not only offers you a choice of "Undercounter or Stacked", but also harvest gold or avocado!

  • Frank at 3:29 Ha HAa

  • he looks like capt. pike in that mobile seat

  • Great show, I loved it.

  • zxappa not laughing LIKE A BOSS

  • I would have laughed at those horrible prizes.

  • @IwshIcldstrtover he was a beautiful lady

  • oh man, how did he not think smashing a watermelon was funny!?!?

  • @afatdutch nothing makes me laugh more than the smashing of watermelons

  • So much hatred for the whole thing.

  • Bed spread, luggage, recliner, washer and dryer. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz . . . ..

  • Why did Frank go on this show?

  • @probrojeffro Haha, probably because he knew he would kick ass at it!!

  • Wow the prizes!!!!!

  • the only funny thing about this video is that dudes mustache

  • 4:30 is that the LMFAO fag

  • what a boss

  • lol he dressed like arab

  • Poor Frank.

He had to endure the "comic" dung of Gallagher.

    No wonder he looks miserable.

  • the only funny thing about this video is frank looking at the people on the show like they are the biggest fucking losers he's ever seen. hilarious.

  • Looks like a cripple coming out o the chair

  • 4:10

    Al Yankovic?

  • @LaLiLuLeLo1991

    Gallagher

  • Zappa is deconstructing the whole time.

  • Frank looks like "get me the fuck offa this show. Its only financing my next tour."

  • Zappa had an enormous ego and probably thought that most other people were beneath his self-proclaimed genius. Unfortunately, he wasted a lot of his time writing crap that was designed to offend.

  • @LShackley Zapppa saw the world through his own eyes. He didnt need anyone telling him what to do and how to do it. He fought for his rights and for what he believed in. His music isnt for trolls such as yourself. go watch Justin Bieber and get a hard on you fag!!!!

  • @Ibanez9245 Have you ever seen "200 Motels"? What a monument to self-aggrandizement. Too bad a talented guy like Zappa devoted so much time to writing crap. "Fought for his rights." What a joke. What you mean is, "Did whatever he wanted to do."

  • @LShackley

    Frank musta plooked your girlfriend.

  • Thumbs up if you got bored and typed "make Me laugh"

  • @PizzaBlade17 haha... yes exactly.

  • @PizzaBlade17 you should not be bored watching frank zappa

  • Wow. What kind of contract did Frank get stuck with that he ended up on a game show?

  • Frank Zappa was probably thinking, "Do they know who they're fucking with?"

  • I wonder what would've happened if the last guy was a tall and thin guy complete with Zappa's facial hair and long hair and they just stared at each other... the Two Franks.

  • Pretty sure Frank hit that for winning that stuff for her.

  • I want the Dakota bread spread

  • I feel sorry for the comedians given the task of making Frank Zappa laugh---he doesnt look like the kind of guy who is easily amused.

  • valley girl she's a valley girl.

  • you know what wuold be hilarious? if some guy who couldnt smile went on this. he would win no matter how many funny guys came out and did something to him.

  • i think the only cat at the time that would have been able to crack zappa would have been a hopped up george carlin or andy kaufmon

  • @alucardisdumb I think you're right.

  • this show's great . i think frank was laughing on the inside . christ was that gallager?

  • That host is succh a douche

  • this was the one time FZ was referred to as a 'terrific sport'

  • the farygodfather thats lame

  • he looks like the guy from system of the down

  • 0:55 it's pronounced shake your booty. therein lies the humor, see

  • This show is so lame! Who would laugh at that stuff?

  • zappa..... keeping the kool!!!!

  • the second guy who came out sounds like doofy from scary movie

  • @space78511 That was Gallagher

  • I love Zappa's face.

  • This is the internet you know, if you don't know who someone is, like Frank Zappa, you Google him!

  • Frank Zappa had an excellent sense of humour! I don't know where all the dullards commenting on here get the impression he was "serious" because he managed to include delightful humour in almost all of his albums. Lighten up, people, Zappa would have said that to you. Just so you know, the point of the show was for the comedians to make the contestants laugh, in this case, Zappa, and the contestant had to try not to laugh or they would lose the round. Relax, people.

  • the announcer is jerry the king lawlers brother.

  • Thumbs up because Ive never seen this footage before and Im a big Zappa fan.

  • sad this show is about depression :(

  • - I think they knew they didn't have a chance of making him laugh.

  • I laughed at the fact that Zappa is a total boss and would never laugh at stupid crap like this. It's ironic that a person like this would be on such a show. I think that's the joke here...

  • who the hell is zappa

  • @adofri he's god

  • @adofri He was God reincarnated.

  • @adofri Not sure if troll

    or just culturally crippled

  • @McLol69 the answer to that will you never get

  • this stupid shit didn't even make me laugh :(

  • Now I want a fluffy, quilted designed DAKOTA BED SPREAD !!!

  • Boiby Van died 2 years later. CANCER!

  • I have a Zappa Sense of Humor.

  • None of it was funny anyway, this show wouldn't have been that hard not to laugh on.

  • They made me laugh. But I'm not boss like Zappa.

  • Tentando fazer o Zappa rir...risos...que fracasso!!!Sou apaixonada por ele..

  • i think he loved it - his smile doesn't come cheap :)

  • @blath19 He probably wanted to cry.

  • there's a frank zappa video that's not entertaining? oh, it's because he's not speaking or performing.

  • Zappa is pretty boss. Minus looking like a Pedophile Luigi

  • @CoconutVSPineapple pfft he looks nothing like a pedophile luigi. he was a very attractive man.

  • He probably thought of the most demented things

  • Fucking bread and games... bread and games. Why did Zappa even come unto this show, I wonder? For the experience? I can see that...

  • Frank Zappa was not amused.. at all

  • Comment removed

  • this is not funny.

  • @Darkcurse101 Agreed!

  • Fukn legend

  • Zappa , was sexy as hell :) I

  • these guys are nothing compared to Motorhead and Jimmy Carl Black or Flo and Eddie

  • Zappa could have sat there for hours and probably not laughed at anything.

  • No funny at all

  • If that is their idea of comedy, it is no wonder that the show was short lived. But at least Zappa gave it a surrealist edge. He looked like he really wanted to be somewhere else.

  • HAHAHA

    {{Frank}}

  • DiAnn DeVille could be a zappa character by name

  • Phi Zappa Crappa. The ultimate fraternity.

  • wow. Comic #2 was Gallagher.

  • 4:07 he looks a bit like Novak Djokovic. Same ironic face :D

  • Who was Frank Zappa?

  • @Indygoguy If you never heard about him, sorry but you don't know yet a huge part of story of the Music... hurry up :P

  • he just told his mom to eff u. or was that to michael richards?

  • I would like to have the washer, the dryer and Herr Zappa. thankyouverymuch <3

  • <3

  • That wasnt a white washer and dryer. They were green and yellow!

  • zappa was extremely amused the entire time.

  • WTF was Frank Zappa doing in this show?!

  • damn. I didn't realize that that was Gallagher until he busted out the sledge-o-matic.

  • The face of FZ

  • Jeezus!! I used to watch this show! It was the best!! of course I was about 7 or 8.

  • I thought Murray had him with the "Staten Island Fairy", but I guess it didn't count...

  • 2:56 for when they people come in.

  • Always thought he was a hunk.

  • FRANK'S EXPRESSION AND BODY LANGUAGE IS TIMELESS...I LAUGHED MORE AT FRANK, THAN THE CORNY ACTS THEY BROUGHT OUT

  • A frank zappa Impersonator would have been funnier

  • franks a traditional wanker he spreads his sperm all over the furniture in the vain hope of attracting a female of the species !

  • You've got to have balls to go out and act like a fucking idiot in front of Frank Zappa.

  • @BradWest96 why? i don't remember him being some kind of tough guy ass kicker

  • @BradWest96 Either that or you have to be a complete idiot.

  • franks looking at those people like they were total medieval peasant idiots, which they pretty much are. i think this whole show must have been a disturbing and depressing experience for a man of such wit and sophisticated humour.

  • @f4ust85 No,I think he smirked a little as this second guy came out.

  • @f4ust85 Sophisticated humor? Come on, Frank didn't have a stick up his ass. He hung out with The Mothers who used to strap belts around their arms and legs to dry hump each other...Frank was not always serious, these guys (like most people on TV) weren't funny.

  • The only thing that actually made me laugh there was Zappa's awesomely neutral expression through the whole thing. :P

  • @Voltron947

took the words right out of my mouth.

  • Frank was always a dicky ingrate.

  • Gallagher!

  • Sheik Yerbouti came out in 1979, so how can this be 1978?

  • Come on, Frank Zappa doesn't laugh! He's a natural for this show!

  • My mom would have killed on this show as a contestant. She has the same sense of humor as Mr. Zappa here.

  • You would only have to eat about 2.5 eggs a day, if that's even a true statistic.

  • the family man

  • Check the balls scratching at 01:55.

    hahahhaha

  • @picanha : Queer!! Queer!! Queer!! Queer!! Queer!! LOL!!

  • @picanha fag

  • Is Regis hosting this???

  • so ridiculous when he sails out on that chair haha

  • @turdohop12 Ha ha, yup, that was the funniest thing in the show even if I can't explain why.

  • WOO! Love you Frank! :) <3

  • This entire show is soaked in 1970s. The hair, the clothes, everything. It's hilarious to watch.

  • The idea of Zappa winning a "Dakota bedspread" and all those other chintzy prizes was funnier than the act.s.

  • thor's hammer aint got shit on gallagher's. when he hits ostrich eggs, they turn into watermelons!

  • I wonder why Frank looked so annoyed. he got to meet Gallagher and Ray Jay Johnson doing a horrible Marlon Brando impression.

  • @billyspurr - Frank always gave off this air of being a bitter, hostile and condescending guy to the media...and to many others!

  • @OlymPigs2010 yeah I know, I was kinda kidding. those comedians were lame. that's why frank looked annoyed.

  • prop comedy is so unfunny.

  • I'd die if that chair malfunctioned.

  • Frank left us to soon.... :(

  • @seanbl1 "too" soon

  • that was only 2 minutes

  • poor Frank XD he looks uncomfortable, watching people fail at being funny.

  • he laughs when he wants to

  • @ 1:57 the host turns into a ball player

  • Franks such a bad ass lol <333

  • we have evolved ppl of the 70`s...lol

  • frank not laughing made me laugh haha

  • 1:44 Doesn't Diane Deville sound like a name Zappa would put in one of his songs?

  • Is that second contestant Gallagher?

  • @mrsgstd Yes

  • @mrsgstd Not contestant, one of the comics who tried to make contestants laugh.

  • @mrsgstd No...that's his keyboardist Tommy Mars. XD XD XD

  • @mrsgstd No, the second COMEDIAN was Gallaagher. Zappa was the contestant.

  • @gblueslover2 Thanks - you're right, it was the second commedian, not the second "contestant" I was asking about. But this is Youtube so you should have replied "mrsgstd your a dumb shit if u dont no the difffrense betwene a contestent or a comedean..." That's what we're used to seeing on here. HA! Thanks for civil reply.

  • @mrsgstd LOL, thx too for your humourous and civil reply as well too, bro...

    Peace

  • man the 70s were weird

  • @TheHawkdaddy Weird maybe, but FUN.

  • NTSC - never the same colour...

  • this nikka look like a fake scarface who came from paris

  • I wish they had the vid over here when Shirley Hemphill (What's Happening) was on there. Like Zappa, she didn't crack a smile :) I used to love this show. Watched it all the time. I adored Bobby Van, and was so sad when I heard he had passed away.

  • look how interested frank zappa is..lol

  • "...AND HERE'S THE ICEPICK IN THE FOREHEAD!!"

  • @HorsePussy Yeah, totally committed to the 50 bucks.

  • its the 70's everybody is high and shagging

  • Damn Frank, this proves even the icons of anti-establishment do it all for money and attention

  • @sadalite He did crappy things like this so he could fund his true passion: his classical music. Gotta make sacrifices.

  • @sadalite Naw, you didn't pay attention. He did it for his mother.

  • Did Zappa loose a bet?

  • plop plop...fizz fizz

  • Wow , some early Gallagher, this was before he got big on showtime. Great video.

  • Steve Martin, Monty Python's Flying Circus, the cast of SNL,and everyone on the Comedy Central network COMBINED could not get Frank Zappa to so much as twitch in laughter. It's just the way Frank was. He was highly unconventional.
