  • great how old were you love the dress see you on the ice

  • ahhh i luv her dress im so jelous shes so good lol:)

  • it seems like she had all her success when she was younger, and nowadays she kinda went downhill. but idk her so...maybe im wrong

  • what is she competing here, pre-novice?

  • Awesome !!!!Go GIrl!!!!!!!!!

  • wow 2:58

  • Better than sasha cohen :D

  • She landed a double axel at this age! omgosh! but now , this yr , 2009, she's like doing the same jumps again. Like she's staying at the same level. I thought she'll be landing triples by now :/

  • @nic95starz well mabye due to constinancy(think thats spelled wrong) she had to make sure all her jumps are perfect before moving on im not sure just a thought

  • how old is this girl? (Kaitlynn McNab)

  • @nic95starz she's been landing up to 3 flips in practice, she just wants to be really comfortable with them before she competes with them, I think she's moving up this coming season, we'll have to see!!!

  • oh my god shes amazing

  • what was the first song?

  • very cute =) love how she just snaps into her jumps. what level was this in and what did she end up placing?

  • i think she won, yeah

  • there is no lutz level. pre-preliminary s the first level that you test for, than preliminary than pre-juvenile, then juvenile, then intermediate, then novice, then junior, the senior. And shes really good here, especially for her age, but now shes practically on the same level. her skating has improved a lot, but shes now doing the same jumps!

  • Well in USFS there is no-test, which consists of what people call toe-loop level and lutz level. Toe-loop level you can do through toe loop and lutz level you can do through lutz. So it's not a specific level in that you test for it, but lutz level is more or less considered a level.

  • theres also the satr skate levels!

btw what level was this? novice?

and also how old is she?

  • my friend needs too watch this to learn how to win shes in intermediate is always sad when she loses in little competions because of the kids doing 2 axels & she refuses to put one in because she thinks she good engough to win with out one, she skates good its just she doesnt do the axel & it makes her a lower spot she should watch this because a little girl is doing a 2 axel & she refuses too

but katlynn mcnab is a great skater

  • now Katlynn is about 15. i've met her! she's sooo nice!!!!!!! i love her!

  • i lovee herr speed

  • she's really gd :)

is she still involved in skating cause she'll be like 15 now or somethiong and ive never heard of her or anything ...

  • yeah i think for the past season she was competing at novice level

  • whats this music called?

  • shes gonna be on the Olympics

  • if this was rated 1 out of ten i would give you 12,00000000000000000000000000 ur so good :]

  • I WILL BECOME A FIGURE SKATER SOON!

as long as i learn to skate any tips?

PLZ PPL GIVE ME TIPS TO LEARN TO ICE SKATE I REALLY WANT TO!!!!

  • Ok.There are A LOT of things that coaches are picky about that your going to HATE working on but PLEASE practice them by yourself too that will help you learn faster!I've been skating for a year now and I'm MUCH farther than most people. One girl that had been skating for 4 years is now a level under me. But I'm not trying 2 brag.I'm in freeskate 3 or 4 it usually takes people 3-4 years 2 reach that level.

  • ok , and , could u give me tips on how to learn to first ice skate? im afraid to fall :( or get unjured like my sis

  • Umm.Falling is just a sign of trying. Most people don't get injured if u have the right technique,u won't get injured.Ur insructor will tell u if ur doing it wrong. The chance of getting injured is small. How old r u?

  • ummm 12

  • I started when I was 10.Didn't Johnny Weir start when he was 12?Any age is good to start skating trust me there are people as aged as 80 that are just starting to skate so don't worry!

  • then , if i start skating for my first time at this age for a month and practice balance , is it possible for me to take classes at like 12 or 13? and learn tricks and stuff :D ?

  • U move ALOT faster with a coach.U don't have to know anything to take a lesson because they will just teach u what they think ur ready for and u move at ur own pace with coaches vs in groups where u learn specific things at specific times so I would advise lessons with a coach which are cheaper than group lessons.U can e-mail m from my you tube if u have any other questions!

  • Thank you so much miss! (or mister)

you are really kind on telling me that information , because i wanna learn to ice-skate so bad! you are a lot of help :D

if i have more doubts i will know right away what i should do.

  • i am in the same level and it only took me a week... and i was in it after my first private training lesson, on wednesday...not tring to brag but...

  • Are you on isi or basic skills?

  • so you can do forward and backward crossovers in a figure 8 pattern, waltz 8 ,advanced forward consecutive swingrolls, backward inside 3 turns, back scratch spin, salchow ,half lutz ,waltz jump toe loop, or salchow toe loop? That's free skate 3.freeskate 4 is spiral sequence forward spiral mohawk back spiral ,power 3 turns, backward chasse sequence, sit spin 3 revs, loop jump, and waltz jump loop combo?

  • ok seriously u know nuthin about fiure skating. she did all double loops that was probley around gold level or freestyle 7 or 8. she did a frikin double axel for peet sake! if ur gonna be like that then atleast get ur facts right!

  • Your on isi I'm on usfsa we have that in that level Katlynn's program here is a Novice program in usfsa It's a level you test for.

  • oh i just moved up from lutz level in usfsa. i just do isi cuz its fun. but sorry........ yeah i just got my double salchow working on my double loop im 11 years old what level r u?

  • there is no such thing as lutz level I think you mean preliminary! I have been skating since November 2007 and am in free skate 3 in usfsa

  • uhh yes there is cuz my coach just moved me up from it i think i would know cuz i have been skating since 2004 so yeah there is a lutz level and perliminary is the level after that duhhhhh

  • no pre preliminary is before that and pre preliminary is the first you test for.

  • ok honestly? u got ur doubles in a week? ha no

  • ya and on there first private lesson? pshh it took me years.. impossible and they said *not tring to brag* pshh

  • she was replying to my comment! sorry for the mix up

  • she didn't she was replying to my comment!

  • Your on isi aren't you? I'm on usfsa

  • @figureskater832 well, I'm on usfsa not isi, I'm landing lutzes now and can do sit spins camel spins sit camel combos and back sits and also working on flying camels and sits. That's what's in our freeskate 5.

  • wow that was a pretty sick nasty double axel!!

  • i agree with

    'lipinskiidol'

she is kinda sticky ish she doesnt flow around the ice like most skaters and she's a little bit of a pre-madonna

  • Shes kinda stick-ish in this one if you know what i mean she dosent flow. And she rushes her landings. Great though

  • i love the enthusiasm she puts into the performance! she looked very serious coming out of the spin at the beginning but when the commentator said her name she became really confident and she had a beaming smile on her face!

  • lol her double salchow looked so easy for her :L

  • What jump was that at 2:32 it looked almost like an accident

  • that was a double flip. she tried to make a flip-toe loop combo, but youre right she somehow messed up the toe loop.

  • she didn't have enough speed to complete the 2toe after the 2flip so she singled it.

  • she is amazing

  • i can finally do a scratch spin!!! :D

  • That's AMAZING I'm working on my Double Axel

  • wow!!!! i am now working on my split jump! i can also lift my leg to my head i am so happy :)

  • She reminds me of Sasha Cohen!!! Very nice job!

  • whats the music?

    dark eyes?

  • what song is this in her program and does anyone know what did she place in this competition?

  • amazig russian split and charlotte spiral! nice double salchow too, keep it up =D

  • She is so good. She is one of my favorite skaters!

  • CORRECTION shes 11

  • seriously, lets see you do better! shes 9-10 years old and can do lots of good jumps already. lets see you be able to do that whe you were 9 or 10!

and those 'people' that are 'way better' are like, 14-20 years old.

  • I thought she did AMAZING! probably better than u!

  • I wish she was my sister. Katlynn is pretty, cute, awesome, and alot more. She is my fav skater ever. Katlynn if ur out there i just want the best of luck for u. UR heart is in skating. UR the best skater ever. LOVE YA!

  • so who would do the best bellimann spin and

    the best scartch spin

  • Amazing Russian split!

  • Wow...her leg extension and spins are fantastic! Keep up the awesome work and I hope to see her in the future, even though this was from 2005.

    Great job!!

  • shes 12!

  • and that was not the best performance at all!

  • ur so jelious

  • ummm, i met her and i showed her how to do a double axel; and she showed me how to do a split extension jump!

  • I'm not trying to be rude but you learn russian splits before you test for pre-preliminary usually and wouldn't her coach have taught her to do a 2axel?

  • shes actually 15 now but in this video she was 10

  • Her Split jump is amazing!

  • i think shes amazing. i do dont no why everyone is calling it!! shes amazing for her age! i hope she does well and i hope she goes far with her skating becasue she has a lot of potential!

  • um.......she is not going to be a sasha cohen just cause she is VERY felixble. Sasha Cohen realy feels her music

  • I agree. Skating is not just about the moves but about feeling the music and bringing the relationship between music and skater to the ice :)

  • atta girl kaitlynn!!

  • wow! she kicked ass!

  • Well..I think that she has the potential to be a good ice skater. But, when she's landing her jumps, she should hold it a little bit longer and try not to rush her program. great otherwise.

  • I'm surprised at the negative comments. I think she did great. Cripes..she's not competing in the Olympics................yet!!!!! WTG!

  • I wasn't very impressed....

  • well sorry! shes not a senior yet...

  • she perfects her grace elements but needs more work on landing cleaner jumps

  • man she is so good! i wish i could be her!

  • my cousin knows this girl

  • yea brooke...shut up

  • know i am in freestyle 4 and have competed with her she is such a nice girl i hope the best for her!!!

    =)

  • ummm... katlynn is in intermediate which is like 8 levels above freestlyle 4 so how could you have competed with her??

  • she's novice and still is to this day but she's testing soon.

  • Wow...she's so talented, I'm so jealous! I'm currently in FS 8, and can land all my doubles but I always mess up in competitions =( But watching this girl makes me feel so useless haha but she's fantastic and I can't imagine what she'll be like in a few years..wow..

  • dont think of it like that you probably just get nervous i hope you have a good skating career!

    from a fello figure skater

  • Haha yeah I always do get nervous but I shouldnt get too nervous all the time..thanks for the support :) so what fs you in?

  • lets just say your way farther than me im still workin on full rotation jumps like salchow and the half jump u know waltz jump but im olny in fs2 so wen i get to fs8 ill be good like u

  • I've been skating for ages though, so you'll definitely become better soon :):) btw i love naruto as well haha, saw on ur thingy that you like naruto!

  • Get job you are a insaration 2 me cuz im in gamma

  • and in english?

  • She'll have bone and muscle problems before she's 12 no doubt

  • Nope. You don't know what you are talking about. She has very good genes. She's lucky that she won't have arthritis. Some people are born with arthritis(like me) or they get them later in their 40's. Some of them never get arthritis at all.

  • Was I refering to arthritis... ummm no!! I am a skater of 10 years and also coach, I have seen several young skaters develop different problems through skating pushing their undeveloped bodies too far.

Think I know what I am tlking about bit more than you :)

  • she's 15 now and doesn't have any problems although she had to even out her ab muscles because they were pulling her back out of socket.

  • I said 12 as I thought she looked alot younger that she obviously is :)

  • she's fifteen now and has great bones and muscles.

  • well there's a privleged little girl

  • i definitely see sasha cohen in her with her flexibility

  • how did she do at junior nationals?

  • Aww, how cute she accidentally puts her hand down when she bows.

  • No doubt she has to clean up her jumps a bit, but hey! She does have potential!

  • the next sasha cohen
