Damn i miss the late 90's yankees team because they had guys like Tino, Knoblauch, Brosius, Bernie, Paul O'neil, El Duque, Coney, Clemens, Mendoza, Stanton, Nelson etc. At that time the Yankees were that damn good and hopefully they start another dynasty with CC Sabathia, Burnett, Texeira etc.!
I met Sojo day after game winning hit of 2000 World Series against the mets, great guy.
Great time to be a yankee fan back then. Now we have a bunch of overpaid underachievers and no team chemistry. Except for the three musketeers Jeter, Posada and Rivera.
Here's some trivia for you - that's Clay Bellinger standing to the left (our right) of Sojo. Coney insisted Clay appear in the commercial to help him out financially.
@Bondcliff03 he stunk. Remember when him and shane spencer battled it out for left field back in the early 2000s? ha. Spencer was supposed to be the next babe ruth, his home runs per at bat rate was equal to babe ruths, no joke haahah
YES!!! It was when was supposedly pitching an awesome game, and the Ansky guys ran out of "K"'s for strikeouts so they use the "K" guy, and end up hanging him and the commercial ends with him saying "I don't wanna be the K anymore..."
Keep in mind, Jetergirl211, that I made that comment before A-Rod went on his amazing HR streak. Now, I realize, he is one of us. P.S. We need Chuck bac, too!
El Duque finally retired :( Retire that man's number....ASAP! He's a big part of that championship run!!!!!! WAR EL DUQUE!

While El Duque was never a great pitcher in the big leagues, he was the most fun to watch.

what has el duque ever done to deserve a commercial? hes an avg pitcher at best, so hes had a few moments in the sun

Most of the '98 Yanks appeared in commercials. I even remember one for the Fat Toad Irabu.
