  • Is that spray adhesive fast drying or do you have to wait like a half hour to dry

  • OMG YOUR SO BRILLIANT! I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO MAKE AN ELITE COSTUME FOR THE LONGEST TIME BBUT DIDNT KNOW HOW THE HELL TO START IT! NOW I KNOW THE APPROCH!

  • How do you get the fur on/off? xD like, it looks like you made it seperate...?

  • I have a question. Will this method work for a fursuit?

  • i love your mirror "i'll bet you dident know we handled these!!" lol! ;D

  • Yaay! Info I can usseeeee!

  • where did you get that spray adhesive?

  • hi do you think this would work for A Minotaur's Legs?

  • LMAO! xD I NOTICED THAT THE MIRROR ON THE BOTTOM IT SAYS "I'LL BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW WE HANDLED THESE" xD

I PRETTY MUCH NOTICED THAT WHEN I SAW THE VIDEO AGAIN xP

  • hi so i have a few questions:

did u attach the leggings to the fur legs? i would love to see your whole outfit. i am planning on doing this for a costume and i was wondering if there is any specific accesories i should add. and i dont have the dummy leg thingys u have (lol) but could i paste the foam on with myself in the leggings ( i know stupid question but it never hurts to ask :) ) thanks!

  • Awesoooome, I have a goat fursona and this has helped me greatly :D

  • if you get harder foam you might be able to sand it

  • @boredperson28738 I recommend Closed-Cell Foam. As far as I know, it only comes in sheets, but it sands down well and has a good density.

  • NEVER cut toward you with a knife!! this helps a lot though.

  • This is just plain awesome! I have to ask, where did you get the fur?

  • Thank you very much! This video was helpful.

  • Thx for the HALP

  • Hi Pattasy, this is an awesome tutorial :) I'm hoping to use it as a model for a succubus costume and was just wondering - what kind of foam did you use? So far I've only managed to find upholstery foam cushion, would this work or is there a better kind?

    Thanks! :D

  • do you sell them?

  • hey, what kind of pants did you use for the base?

  • what is digitgrade anyways???

  • @naomiglaser1 Digitigrade describes an animal that walks on its toes, like a dog or cat.

  • Hello, great video but I wonder what kind of pants you use :)

  • A Faun is a Satyr right?

  • How much fabric did you use? Thanks ^^

  • Great Tutorial!

i've heard some things about the furring, but do you happen to have a pattern? or did you just wing it? Thanks!

  • I have a question. How much is the overall cost?

  • What did you do to make the pants stiff and rigid as you add the foam padding onto them? And I love this tutorial!

  • where did you buy your foam? i cant find foam anywhere, and i was wondering if it came in 4" instead of 2"?

  • @GayLordKills i got the foam at hancock fabrics, i didn't see any thicker ones left, but i'm sure they make 4"

  • there is like no good tutorials on furring out there, but this tutorial did help me make a ton of progress.

  • Great video! How did you finish off the top of the pants/legs? I see you used some kind of green fabric to wrap around the hooves. Did you do something similar up top?

  • @senowyn nope, just a casing with a drawstring. then i wore a fancy leather renaissance belt on top of it.

  • Thank you , just been asked to make a faun costume, so this has been invaluable.

  • Hi, great tutorial! I've been working on this costume for halloween this year and am about to fur my legs. Just wondering if you have any tips or advice about it. In the video it looks like you sewed in the front and back of the legs, how did you handle the waist area? Thanks!

  • @JacobHEmery for the waist i just folded over the fur to make a casing for a drawstring.

  • @MissNurseryCryme the foam is flexible so, you just pull it off like a pair a pants. turn it right side out and put it back on :)

  • Thanks a ton!! I'm making a evil faun/satyr/whatever for renfest!! This helped allot. I'm just havving problems with the pattern. Idk what shape for the fur. I'll figure it out though and post a vid or something. Thanks a bunch!!

  • You think you could make them for me? I'm pretty small, but since im only 15 i don't know if i could do this on my own, any suggestions? thanks

  • @paperfriends i'm sorry hun, i can't accept commissions. :(

  • @paperfriends age doesnt define whta youre capable of only you do

  • thank you so much. all the tutorials i have found were drawn so this is the first one that has helped

  • A really nice cool way of creating magik creatures costumes, thanx a lot for your help and congratulations for this cool video...

  • Hey Pattasy! It's me again x3 Could I ask you about how many yards of fur you used on these?

  • @animepyroqueen wait you didn't fur yours yet? hmmm, I don't remember hun. I'm horrible at guess-timating yardage. I just always buy a ton :(

  • @pattasy Haha~ xD I did x3 I'm making a second pair a different way for a certain cosplay I've decided to do. Though, I can't remember for the life of me how many yards I used last time... So, I thought I'd ask x3

  • Sister, you need to get a hot wire foam cutter. Shit, I'll send you the one I have that I never use.

  • @8FtSpider I have a hot wire foam cutter, but I assumed it can only be used on styrofoam and pink insulation foam (polystyrene stuff). I figure it would catch this Polyurethane mess on fire. Never tried, would it?

  • @pattasy

Oh, snap. I didn't know it was polyurethane (I didn't listen to the whole vid if you mentiont it). Supposedly polyurethane gives off toxic fumes when burned.

    My bad.

  • @8FtSpider well shit man, gave my hopes up, i thought maybe you found me some miracle. dammit, lol! XD

  • Hey thank you so much for all the help you gave me and the tutorials my faun costume came out perfect :3 I'll have a video or two up of it soon but I wanted to thank you personally for everything ^^

  • @Waluigisgirl1 thats freakin awesome! You are so welcome, let me know when you got those vids, i'd love to see them! :)

  • @pattasy I'll personally send you the video's ^^ I'm going to be at a Fair this weekend so I'll have it by atleast Sunday if not I'll make a video of pictures so you can see! ^^

  • hi ... great video... just wondering how long it took you from start to finish... a rough estimate if you can't remember exactly. thanks :)

  • i normaly am not in for this kinda things but i think i got a little tip to make it more realistic.(not to bother you but i think it can help)

you could make the foam parts on the back of the leg a little les pointy but rounder(just a little)

i hope you can use my little tip.

  • @legoscavenger I know about the pointy legs. the white pair i made before these were rounded. I wanted the brown pair to be pointy cause i was going for a specific look. After it was all done, i wanted to change the whole thing again to minimalist, so i started over from scratch. :)

  • I'm planning to make faun legs soon.

How many yards of fabric did you buy to make your faun legs

  • trust me....your a lot of help...THANKS!!!

  • I'm bothering you again;

I'm attempting to make my first digitigrade legs for a costume I'm doing, its not a faun but an anthro car :D.

How /easy/ is this method? I've seen the furry ways to do it but the legs look too bulky.

And do you have a better pattern? I lack a spare pair of legs.

  • you can have someone else wear them for you :) sorry, i don't have a better pattern. I made the legs using the duck-tape-dummy method, where you wear a pair of thin loose pants and have someone wrap u in ducktape, then cut it off up the sides and tape the halves back together. tape up all the holes and stuff it with whatever u can find and voila! you should have a replica of your legs :)

  • This is an awesome video. I want to make faun legs for a friends birthday next month. My question is, how would you do this without a mannequin?

Would you just get someone else to help? be able to do it yourself?

  • well its hard to do it on yourself, so i would say grab a friend to wear it while you add the padding.

  • hii

do you also have a tutorial on how to make the horns?

i tried to find it but i could not find it

  • i'll eventually post one. When i make new ones, i'll be sure to film it :)

  • yay thnx

  • could this work as unicorn legs and horse legs ?

  • of course it can :) you can always tweak the shape to get what you want.

  • i wish i can hve this costume! i can use it for the njcl! its a nation wide contest....the boys get to do pan...the god of nature! please explain more about the legs costume....i would greatly appreciate it! thnx! =]

  • well i explained everything, including a separate video on how to make the hooves. What else do you need?

  • @pattasy i want to know more about the furring. thatll be very helpful....

  • well, you see how i had it on the mannequin pinned to the leg? do the same thing with tissue paper or scrap fabric to get a pattern. then trace it onto the fur, cut it out making sure you leave some seam allowance all the way around, and sew it. i can't give alot of tips on that part cuz i struggled a bit too. ;)

  • wow, great video. You speak very clearly and are easy to understand.

  • Thank you so much for your videos. I made faun hooves/legs for halloween this year and they turned out great thanks to your instructions.

  • that's what i love to hear! feel free to send me a link if you upload some pics somewhere :)

  • So you mean that your legs are straight in the ending scene? If they are, Wow that's cool =D.

  • yep the legs are straight. the padding gives the illusion that they are bent :)

  • WooW =). That's really awesome!

  • Thanks..BTW. from the tone in your voice, it was almost like you were explaining away that it wasn't very good or quite as good as you wanted it..For what it's worth..IF that was the case, that's a bunch of bunk. It was great. And as many of these type of videos as I've seen and been looking through, I still learned something new and different in how you made it..Take Care. Jim

  • naaa, i didn't like the way it turned out, but i promised a quick tutorial so i grabbed the footage and blabbed away. I thought i sounded rather mean :(

thank you for the wonderful compliments they really made my day :)

  • Thanks alot for this video it's really helping me with my costume xD

  • Very excited I found this video. Thank you. I'm using thicker fur so I won't need to be so detailed. I think my son will be very happy with his costume this year.!!

  • nice boobs on your mirror x]

  • what did the pattern look like in the end? I've never made anyclothes so I wouldn't even know how to lay the fabric on to stitch it right

  • Awesome! ^.^

  • Thank you so much! This was SO helpful! :D

  • I really like your costume and makeup tutorials! Very inspiring!

  • thank you hun, glad you like them :)

  • You are AWESOME! Thanks for posting this! I'm making a halloween costume, and its going to be awesome thanks to your video!

  • I can't help but wonder, what does the mirror say?

  • the mirror says "i'll bet you didn't know we handled these" and it has a picture of a woman with bare boobs. XD Not my choice, but i can't complain, it was free ;)

  • That's just great!! XD

  • Excellent tutorial. :)

  • I'm making a faun costume and your video on the hooves was VERY helpful. I made them a bit more cloven and they turned out pretty good. I'm looking for fur to get started on the legs. I really love the shaggy fur you have above the hooves. where did you get it?

  • i got it from ebay. :) they have alot of random furs. i think it was called "tibet fur" or something like that. I can't seem to find the long shaggy fur in my local stores.

  • for easier foam carving if you do it again use an electric turkey carver.

  • wow! great!

curious, i've never seen that kind of fur in the craft stores by me. only the generic stuffed animal-type fur. where did you get it?

  • the short tan fur i got at our local hancock fabrics. the long dark brown fur i had to order from ebay, cause nobody carried it here. :)

  • Awesome, great tutorial

  • You do it !Thank you so very much^^

  • You are awesome!! Thanks again for sharing!!!!!

  • u are very welcome ;)

  • !!!

    I need hot glue

I'm abit too lazy to sew the fur

    Lol

I wish I saw this sooner! You did a much better job then I did with this (Of course).

I will most definatly put a video response up as soon as I finish furring them

  • sorry it took me so long to post, i had all the old footage stored on different memory cards x)

don't worry your not the only one, i was too lazy to make a pattern. ;)

  • Lol.

Well, anyways, Thank you for teh vid!

I hope to see more Fauns around!

BTW. I don't know if you are but... I'm going to Anime Iowa (possibly).

  • AWESOME!!

THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR!

    Now I can start.
