I bought two tickets to see the Baby Animals in 2009, and unfortunately only got two of the original members, one year after they had reformed with the four orig members. The gig was such a joke, so far from their best that it has left a bitter memory of the band with me ever since. I loved this band, but they really underestimated their fans, and didn't mention anything of a new line up. Did they think we wouldn't notice or care? Real shame.
When Parise and Celenza returned to Perth, they received correspondence from DeMarchis lawyers informing them the band had been wound up a right DeMarchi argues she retained under the contracts they had signed back in 1990. A new band was to be created and Celenza and Parise would simply be employed as musicians an idea which the two say was impossible to accept after 20 years of splitting all profits equally.
