Hi,

I believe you can. If it's an online app then it's easy enough to setup in the settings. But if it's something like Skype, then I have no idea. It probably is though, just check with the settings. Hope this helps.

I have this webcam and it's stopped working for me. When I click on the icon to activate it it says "Initialization error" In device manager it says that "this device is working properly" I'll try to re-install it I guess.

Give a re installation a try, but if that doesn't work you might want to look at the hardware. It may not be seeing the webcam because it's broken. Which isn't surprising.

I was going to buy one but then I saw your comment replies saying how this webcam sucks.

Someone else told me after about a month the mic stopped working & you just confirmed it so I'll probably buy a Logitech.

@larameche Honestly, Logitech is the better choice. While this webcam has given alright quality at it's best, it's so unreliable that really it's not worth dealing with. Glad to see this video helped with your purchase.

Well the only way to possibly make it zoom in would be through the software, IF it lets you. Mine used to, but after the driver update it stopped.

Yes basically. It fixed the syncing issues with the audio and video, but removed the zoom feature. I'm not sure why, maybe it's just a bug.

Right off the bat, I can tell you zoom probably will not work. Mine doesn't function. However if you go into the LifeCam recorder, and click that little arrow (tab) on the right of the window a settings menu will pop out where you can change the settings and zoom in (mine won't let me).

As for being blurry, it's probably because you are way to close to the subject you are recording. This thing does NOT do well at close distances. Hope this helps some, let me know if you have more questions.

The lens doesn't actually twist at all, so if you try to twist it harder, it'll just break. Sorry about that.

I either record the videos with the built in software (the new updated drivers fixed all the problems you've been reading in my comments), or you can directly upload to YouTube through the quickcapture.

Honestly (if it's not to late) I'd recommend against that. Mine was pretty messed up, and I've heard a lot of problems come from these.

Unfortunately I have not gotten another webcam as of yet. But if I do, it'll be a Logitech for sure. They're upper end webcams are grade A.

If your asking me, not so great. This thing really isn't the best in quality build. The microphone has failed, the software is buggy, and I'm VERY disappointed with it.

Sorry for responding 1 month later, I didn't get the email for this comment :/.

I would not recommend this camera due to the simple fact the microphone stopped working after about a month of so. If you can go for something with logitech. That's what I'm going for when I get my next one.

Hey! Thanks for the comment. Here's what you need to do. Open up the Microsoft Lifecam icon on your desktop. from there in the bottom left hand corner of the capture interface you'll see a little file. You can click that to go to the file.

Other wise go to your picutres, and there's a file called "Lifecam Files". You can access everything there.
