  • lol, it's just funny hearin them diminished passing chords on a pipe organ

  • is that the church you guys just moved in and your playin total praise my favorite song you make that pipe organ sound like a C3 or C2 either but still you will always be blessed

  • hello trinatrine

my name is minister nafis johnson and i think you are very anoited my dream is to play the hammond i would like to know do you hvae any dvd's to teach people how to play .hopefuly if your are ever in phila i could see you i have my wife look at your clips all the time lol

  • I broke down

  • You are so AWESOME!! I play the Pipe Organ ALL THE TIME. And I play the Hammond B3. But the BEST Pipe organs out there, are made from "ALLEN"! Allen is to classical music, what the Hammond B3 is to gospel. I play for the Beth Eden Baptist Church here in Oakland California. I think you might know my friend Adam Rogers ( who also lives here ) but one Sunday morning, our Hammond organ ( Leslie Speaker ) went bad on us. So I had to play all of the gospel on our Allen Pipe Organ. And played well.

  • So Beautiful... <3

  • was this in CT on main st?

  • Sounded great...good to hear a [real] pipe organ...most pipe-like organs are taking over the churches...but it's good to hear real pipes...the newest Hammond organ has an internal module with pipe organ samples...with a stationary speaker...maybe one day Hammond and a pipe organ company will build an organ with a Leslie speaker and pipes...wow, one console two sounds...Gospel and High Church!

  • Look like yall was in a castle lol

  • hahaha i thought wit pipe organ ur only allowed 2 I, IV and V loool

  • This made me smile... I normally play the pipe organ, but last year I played my first B3. Now I'm trying to learn the B3 and all the wonderful things that can be done with it...It is definitely teaching me how badly I needed to get my scales solid! haha! Thanks for showing you out of your comfort zone...I saw you commented about being overwhelmed by all the stuff on the organ, but imagine seeing a drawbar for the first time...LOL Thanks for the inspiration!

  • I SO MET TRINA TRINE WHEN I WAS 18!!!! AND WHEN I MET HER SHE SMASHED THE HAMMOND AT HER DAD'S CHURCH!!!! I WAS 18 AND DID NOT KNOW THAT SHE WOULD JUST BE DOIN DVD'S AND PLAYIN AROUND PJ MORGAN AND SUCH!!! YOU ARE SUCH AN ENCOURAGEMENT SIS!!!! HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN IN THE FUTURE!!!

  • I love the pipe organ....it's so different from a Hammond. Things on a B3 don't necessarily translate well to a pipe organ.

  • Awesome!!!

  • Wow.. that was nice.. made ya kinda stand still for a moment. u need to come to the Bahamas and play the one we have at our church

  • Oh Yes!!!! Trina does have a sacred side too. Sounds Great!!

  • Its not that easy adjusting from the B3 to the pipe, especially when it comes to the pedaling (with their orientation and all). Great job Trine. Its funny when you messed up a lil and you just smile it off. I do the same thing at church. We're all human. Imperfect beings praise THE Perfect being. Keep it up Trine. God bless you.

  • So cool. Pipes are powerful instruments. 32-note pedal board gives the right foot room to roam. Looking forward to more.

  • I ALWAYS WANTED TO PLAY THE PIPE ORGAN!

  • Girl I don't care what type of organ you play; you can make it sing!!! Love it! keep up the good work for the Lord! Bless you!

  • Absolutelty wonderful!! As an African American who loves the Hammond organ and Leslie cabinet; I love the pipe the pipe organ just as much. I encourage you tp learn the pipe organ more. I wish that more of us (black churches) appreciated them. Some do...the Methodist, Southern Baptist, AME and AME Zion churches. Pipe pipe organs have etherial beauty. You play it awesome my sister PLEASE learn it and share your appreciation for it with others. Learn how it works. It will fill your heart.

  • Nice! it seems that you have some pretty good heel-toe technique. I think you should invest some time in pipe organ instruction because you have talent, and what seems to be a really good ear.

God Bless you and all that you to for the Glory of God.

I am a 19 year old Church Music Pipe Organ major from Chicago. It is awesome to see musicians but especially african american musicians that have such a passion for music, church music, and doing things to the Glory of God

  • my bigsister on the pipeorgan WOW

  • Sister. WHAT DON'T YOU DO! I've never heard a pipe organ sound like that! Were you playing Total Praise? I love all your vids! Anywho, continue to be blessed, and bless others with your music ministry.

    Min. DFS

  • "There's the B-3 over there!" "This is my dude Ben!" "And this is so beautiful". You're playing is so beautiful and the song is so beautiful. You are SO funny; "attempt". Such a humble worshipper of God.

  • your touch actually suits the pipes very nicely- I don't know why more Hammond players don't at least try to play one when its there!! Yes, its bigger, you have different controls to think about, no drawbars, but its an organ!!! Okay, not as versatile for all the types of music we play, LOL. But still, very beautiful indeed. Good job! I dunno if you should shout on that tho...I mean you could if you wanted just for fun :) too bad we couldn't experience all the acoustical dynamics!

  • unbeilavable sound...u did good...this is big time stuff...lol

  • Oh yes ma'am!!!!!!! This was truly a blessing. Do you have any advice for an upcoming musician?

  • that was amazing.

  • i love the sound of that.....to many button or should i say keys...love it tho...

  • I'm from and play in hartford and didn't know about ur workshop ;(

  • woman of god YOU ARE THE TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You are wonderful to just jump on the pipe organ and rock it like that you go girl

  • I want to thank you for this...employing the pipe organ, an instrument that universally is yet to be fully appreciated in general, and one that is specifically resisted by too many black church musicians. What escapes them is the fact that way back in THE day....aside from the piano, a pipe organ was the only other keyboard instrument available. I'm hoping your influence will move them to think about this instrument more critically, and appreciatively. Thank you Trina, and God Bless you.

  • OMB....BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

  • You did wonderful!!!!!!

  • Could have sworn I thought I heard a little tiny bit of Total Praise in there. Great job, especially for a first time!

  • I hear it to

  • man that was very very very good you are very gifted on the organ man i start playing this year i ok i just play to much shout music my friend say you play to much shout music ever time you get on the organ but never the less god is so good i wish i could met you on day god bless you i from Brownsville TN.

  • This is really good! I definitely enjoyed!

  • Whenever I play for traditional services (Lutheran/Methodist etc) I always pull out some Gospel music, because nobody there has heard them, but I have to make them sound very classical, which isn't that hard. It's great to see somebody else use the king of instruments for other types of music. Next time, pull out a 32' and 16' subass in the pedal and have that drone Db, Gb and Ab for your bass, and the chorus with principals 8, 4, 2, mixture, and reeds, and a bombarde in the pedal, Awesome!!!!

  • WOW!!! i must say when i think of pipe organ i always tend to think of bach or some old composer. i never would ever thought to play richard smallwood. U just gave me a few ideas for something. Thanks for posting it was very creative:)

now lets hear some SHOUT MUSIC lmao

  • Yes indeed! I'm ready to shout too! Lol!

  • and they say gospel can't be done on a pipe organ!!!! well you did it

  • Man oh man, Trina, that was AWESOME! Keep posting those pipe organ videos!

  • Nice Nice Nice!

  • Couldnt help noticing you playing the pedals barefoot. Good for you!! Did you notice you can play better without the shoes because now you can feel the pedals? With your ability, you should start to learn to use both feet on the pedals. Now that would look and sound very impressive (barefoot of course)!

  • Actually I'm not barefoot at all and I don't play barefoot. I have on flip flops but thank you :-)

  • @carol9820 ......the eternal barefoot discussion. Believe me it's really not better. It's almost imposibble to do glissando's and you can hurt your feet terribly. Also for Trina's music it can be important to play two notes with one foot a heightened heel is necessary for that.

  • @SuperVideodave ....and the best female organist of Paris (Jeanne Demessieux) played with incredible high heels.

  • Ha? Your first time on a Pipe Organ and then you play c sharp major? Wow!

  • oh im inspired truly......now i wanna find a pipe organ to play on......lol....wont be as nice as you tho Trine........keep stayin on ya grind g......much blessings.....e-z!!!

    Mike

  • AW girl, i'm mad @ u... I was just WAITING 4u 2 play some shoutin music on that!!!! In Ab!!! LMAO LOLOL

  • You are so crazy! Man, I was overwhelmed with all of that stuff on there. I promise next time that I will "attempt" to try the shout! WHEW! Love you Brandon!

  • @trinatrine next time play on an organ that has chamades! (vertical trumpets).

  • the pipe organ looks confusing on some of its features compared to a hammond lol!!! but that really wasn't all that bad...you really sounded wonderfully on the pipe organ!!!

  • Total Praise Nice

  • TOTAL PRAISE ON PIPES......LOL preety cool, all that bass is nice

  • nice!!!

  • tha's wha's up MIss Trina Trine.....

  • Nice Feel!!

  • I felt the Spirit of God descending upon me like a Dove, because of this Pipe Organ music. I fell out in the floor under the power of God. Glory. Nice.

  • cant believe you were in hartford and i missed it. shoulda stoped by my school ghaa lol

  • That was awesome!!! I love it! Keep playing ... and after that excitement from you, you made me want to buy you one. LOL ... Keep doing what you do because only what you do for Christ will last and that was a lasting impression!

  • go gurl!

  • Hey T,

I love the sound of the pipe organ. The response time is something one has to get use to however. I have played a couple over the years (we have one in our university chapel). Playing one certainly makes one feel special in a way.

    Peace,

    Dr. Kemp

  • I dont think that pipe organ was ever played like that!! you are very blessed!!!
