I like how there is a military but you need a massive infrastructure to efficiently maintain it all. But the nukes are glorious! Overall this game is breathtaking and seamless.

I really liked Dawn of Discovery, I never knew of this series before 2 months ago while looking for an RTS to take a break from SC2. Hell i just heard of 2070 today, looks fun! Love RTS and Sim games

I like the fans comment in this video. Far more enthusiastic than comments of other fans I've read. Sort of a if the game isn't broke, don't fix it. Just change the timeline. I never played 1404 and the later, but this one sure interests me.

i have played all the other game before and this one has been the worst all in done install game, autopatch sends virus into my system,conflicts with avg, then and finaly getting it to work after 3 days it froze my pc some i uninstalled the game, i can't even send it back and i uninstalled the game my pc works fine again so i'am not buying any more ubisoft game too p-=-./@d off

@WHEATTHlNS Your wrong. Similar Gameplay elements are reused massively in series of games all around. Its actually the most common way of succeeding at selling products in a mainstream crowd. We could as well speak about 100 different games, being reskinned on behalf of the limitation to the console specs theese days.

Considering the game is now available on Steam, I think it's going to pick up quite a bit of sales. I did the casual chin rub wondering if there were previous installments of Anno since this is set in 2070 (I hadn't heard of the game until I saw it on Steam). Google always seems to have the answer, but I think I'm going to make this my first Anno purchase!

anno (dawn of discovery) was always in the middle ages, or later, but now its in the future :D for the first time and its bigger than ever!....but its not popular..WHY? lets say EA makes sim city year 2070, they would get a bunch of sales even if sim city 2070 sucks more, now thats just my " guess" not the truth so..i wish anno would get more recognition

You guys are forgetting something... it has introduced THE ARK (that structure you see submerging) wich is your command center. It is connected to the online community, you can activate buffs from it and costumize it using things you unlocked... Also, new to Anno, you can build an UNDERWATER base for new resources and a new type of civilians... (Scientists). We have balistic weapons that can attack other islands and 3 types of air vehicles... i think thats enough for me....

I have Anno 1404 and Anno 2070 is a huge improvement. It is similar as in the future your buildings look different for making iron and have a similar name. But so what in this you can build production islands on the sea floor. The graphics are better, Far more content. two totally different factions. It has that Command & Conquer feel mixed with Half life 2, Sim City. 10/ 10 from me.

There is no reason to get this for full price if you have anno 1404, it's identical just a cosmetic change so not worth full price.

@KoolJayJ thats better than most PCs out there, if you think that sucks then you dont know what a bad PC is. Also, that config can max out pretty much any game nowadays.

But yeah from the looks of it, it's a lot like the previous games... But honestly? That's exactly why i play the games, it's anno... And well, if you like starcraft 2 graphics and style, but need new gameplay, try it out...

The Anno games are fantastic if you like city building and managing economies. The only real negatives IMO are the terrible combat system and the Ubisoft DRM.

Nice preview. I like how you never gave a score and cut the time in half. :) Makes sense. I finished the demo. I kinda liked how the story was progressing and felt myself wondering where "me in the game" could progress in it. (you'll understand if you play it to the end)

Oh yeah I made a mistake.. Anno 1101? :p mistake, It was Anno 1701.. ahh well :p I played quite a bit of Anno 1404 Venice and loved it. I would have played it EVEN more if I wasn't using a 9500GT at the time.. Wasn't playable.
