this is definitely the Yardbirds. unfortunately, it's only available on the long out of print "Cumular Limit". Nowadays the CD goes about $50-$100 used. However, I found mine from some online Asian store for $20 new (Monitor Records if anyone was curious, they might have some other copies), so if you try hard enough, you may be able to find it.
@Zeitgeist74 Recorded April 5, 1968 in New York during The Yardbirds' final studio session. "Avron" was the name of a guy that the band met while on tour in Florida, and he inspired the band to write this song about him. This features both Keith Relf and Jim McCarty on vocals.
The Yardbirds had it all. Legendary guitarists, great hits and they kept up with the times being a blues based group experimenting in psychedelia...they had a horrible manager though
I've got Cumular Limit,it's also has a dvd of there performance in Germany-1966.I had to get decipherd for U.S.dvd players,it was made in Europe, they use a different recording process.
I've always wondered how the Yardbirds would have progressed musically had they not broken up. This song proves they were still at the top when it came to experimenting for new sounds . what a rare classic- I wish it was available on cd !
Well, the thing was that Relf and McCarty didn't want to experiment with new sounds the way Page did, coz they wanted to play acoustic folk instead, and Dreja was getting disinterested in the music world. The break was sadly inevitable.
I've always wondered how the Yardbirds music would have progressed had they not broken up. litening to this and their version of dazed and confused makes me wish they had stayed together.
The Creation was elsewhere in the spring of 1968 when their U.K. label, Polydor released a single of "How Does It Feel" b/w "Tom Tom" on both sides of the Atlantic, with the U.S. version coated in dubbed-on psychedelic effects. They were both good sides but never charted. In the early '80s, England's Edsel Records released How Does It Feel to Feel?, the definitive LP collection of the Creation.

Love the single sleeves - but I wish they were slowed down a bit - they go by too fast to fully appreciate them.

I'll make another video or 2 with the singles going by slower.

Every place I've looked about the story behind this song, and the Yardbirds recording this, I turn up empty. You sure this is the Yardbirds?
