  • Drummer is sick.

  • I'm going to have to go with "Snoop" being the best bassist that Fred has ever employed. T.P. is phenomenal, but "Snoop" plays on a level that is just outright unfathomable. If you check out one of "Snoop"'s earlier albums Millennium Praise, by Rudolph Stanfield and compare it to the Pages of Life project you'll see what I mean. Today, I think that they are still incomparable. "Snoop" is a flat-out unstoppable "BEAST". And he's saved and filled with the Holy Ghost as well..

  • u just cant leave out Maurice Fitzgerald, Snoop its a beast and a very humble person so is Terrance Palmer but u have to Maurice Fitzgerald in the mix

  • On Pages Of Life, Fred played the bass on this on the first disc, but on the second disc TP played this. I tell you the truth TP is the best bass player that Fred ever had. End of story.

  • Who's on drums?

  • Cledell King usually kicks the set with T.P.

  • I always said that if it had not been for T.P Fred would not have got those awards for that particular album. This is the best bass player Fred has ever had

  • I wouldnt say tht dont get me wrong T.P. is sick but Fred did all his bass playn on every lp he put out n to say tht T.P. is the best hav u heard his new bass player Snoop he is like fred and jaco mixed.

  • Man I got to say bassmantobias is right. Dont get me wrong Fred is a sick individual and his studio work is off the chart, but listen to pages of life the live version the only one to me that comes close is something bout love. and trust snoop aint no mix between fred and jaco.T.P is the best he ever had, none of his hits are like pages of life.check the awards board he have not gotten one since.

  • Man Ive got so far to go

  • Amazing! At first I though, "Huh? Where's the 'one'?", and then I realized it was in "three". Wow, how often do you hear something that funky in "three"?

  • This aint in 3

  • Yes it is. 3 or a multiple like 6. Otherwise it makes no sense.

  • Its not in three. If you listen closely, the snare is on two and four.

  • I see what you're saying. There's a 12-beat pattern, and I hear it as 1&x&x&2&x&x& but you are right that the drummer is doing it as four triplets 1&&2&&3&&4&&, but the bass part sounds sick that way, and I suspect he is thinking it my way. There are 3's in it either way. It isn't straight 8th notes in 4/4, which is what it sounds like at first, which is what I was trying to point out.

  • I accidentally posted my reply as a new comment. See above.

  • Hmm, even clicking the blue "Reply" button made it a new comment.

  • Yikes! Sorry about these repetitions. These were all showing up as new comments, but when I go look at other stuff and come back, now it's in the right place! Anyway, I appreciated hearing your way of listening to it.

  • Go TP!

  • That was always one of my favorite songs back in his tenure with Fred Hammond. I'm happy to see TP still doing laying down some solid bass work with Israel and New Breed as well as doing his solo work.

  • I here Terrance is leaving New Breed to pursue a solo career and other ministry oppurtunities. They have a new guy named Justin "Rafiki" Raines playing bass and key bass for them now. I was at there latest recording and both TP and Justin jammed out!

  • he showed out on this track, whithout them licks it probablt wouldnt be as classic

  • Roll on TP....Jross from St. Louis dawg....
