  • I......don't understand....

  • How many points were on the German 12th SS's side? I really like to be using Panther's and Jagdpanthers in my division :)

  • Instead of flocking the whole board with static grass and whatnot, have you thought of using those Woodland Scenics Readygrass mats?If you use those, you can easily remove them if you wanted to rework that piece of terrain, that, and they are very durable.

  • hoose (house, oot(out), do you also say boos for bus?

  • My son, uncle, father and I are all looking forward to this new hobby (one's a retired Colonel, the rest of us are just nutty) and your video was easily one of the deciding factors. Also, your website has fantastic images. Thank you!

  • great..cant wait to see the actual battle!

  • rulebook is incredibly easy to get, type in flames of war rulebook pdf on google and the first result should be a link to download it for free at 4shared. I'm sharing this because I think a lot of people don't get into the game due to the relatively expensive prices. Many of the source / intelligence books can also be found in the same way

  • Did i hear spetsnaz in the Russian army. I didn't know Spetsnaz were in the Russian Military during ww2

  • @colonelchris92 You are essentially correct, however special reconnaissance troops were used behind enemy lines on the eastern front to cause disorder and collect intel and I believe they were referred to as Spetsnaz as well since the word just means "special purpose forces." They were not formed as a separate entity within the military until later though.

  • @hatebunny Thnx, that actually helps a lot.

  • hey sry new to flames of war. but do tanks such as your t34's operate in units like platoons or can they run solo??? thanks

  • Id soooooo love to get into this, but the guys are hard to paint, its expensive and very complicated, plus ive noone that wants to play lol :(

  • @TheFewzz The guys aren't hard to paint, being small is actually an advantage, there's less detail to paint (not like on those 28mm Games Workshop figures) And its not too expencive, you c an pick up a box for around £40 that contains the basic compulsory forces for a game. fter all, its a collectable hobby, you can just [ick up a new model every now and then. And in terms of findingsomeone to play against, have you checked around your local area for clubs etc?

  • I have a question, where is this battlefield themed? France, Russia, Germany...

  • Is there a book that goes with late war Germany, UK AND USA?

    Good map btw

  • @Bobbobmac i think you may wanna check the dogs and devils book, the bridge too far book [and other market garden books], the d-day books and maybe fortress Europe but don't hold me too it, wild guesses.

  • @Bobbobmac Yes, I would suggest "Hells Highway". It is mainly British however includes some US and some German. You can also get "Earth And Steel" (Only German) and "Turning Tide" (Only USA & UK) books together, they give the full rules for all the Allies and Germans in France/Normandy.

  • one thing that can help you in moving and grouping up units is knowledge of how they rally did it in real life

  • ho ho ho ho..... wait a sec..... you MUST have a plate to call atillerie? sorry guys but i'm tottally new to this game and i must say it looks awsome.

So how does that work? can you use it only one's?

  • You are a source of inspiration and guidance. Thank you for your efforts. They are most appreciated.

  • Wow! That's simply a fantastic table! Completely different from the "war torn" tables we see most of the time. I love how the table flows naturally from the field to the town. It looks so realistic.

  • Did you drybrush your tanks or airbrush ?

  • Without playing the same battle over and over again, for how many different battles can you use the battle board?

It looks great and much have taken a lot of time, but if it's only used for one battle....!

Could you please make a list of which battles can be foiught on this board?

  • @SlotraceDK I would say many battle can be fought. Each time you change your army the battle changes. Each time you switch sides, it changes, each time you move an objective from one place to another, and with each mission the battle changes. Although the board remains unchanges, you never play the same battle twice.

  • How much would it cost for that Panzer ss army i dont mean your exact one but if i bought what it had from the store. Im starting to get into FOW and i really want my first army to be that sort of size maybe with less infantry and more artilery. But i expect it will cost shit loads : /

  • windmill, yay ;D

  • If I had the money I'd buy one of his tables...

    They're simple beautiful.

  • @KILOBify I am always open for business.

  • @TheTerrainGuy Thanks for the offer, but I've heard of how much these tables cost, aren't they around 400-800$'s?

  • @KILOBify This one was more like 4000.00

  • @TheTerrainGuy Seriously? Wow...

You must make a real living off this...

I haven't watched many of the videos but I figured you put a lot of work into these...

(Didn't know you spent THAT much work into it... but it must be worth it.)

  • Oh my, that table is AMAZING. I want to play on it!!!!

  • @clayisajedi444 Open for business, email.

  • are they hard paint

  • @colangelo555 Its certainly a practise thing.

  • Where can I get a cheap rulebook for this game. All of the stores I see that sell them sell them for like $70.

  • @staticfish1 OPEN FIRE boxset, full rules and 5 tanks. Best Value out there.

  • ahh 12 SS is what I play!

  • @pvthudson01 Same here.

  • That is just .. Wow I want one heh.. Great job makes my years and years of 40k wasted .. Should have been doing flames of war

  • Awesome Board!! Love the idea of making little cut outs to put units in. Well painted models too.

  • what a fantastic board!

  • This is a treat to see:)

Those poor cows are gonna get slaughtered!

  • You've got this setup at your school dont you?! Sneaky, I've seen some of kids in the later episodes ... Nice work Shawn, I prefer the soft cover, smaller book - I had it spiral bound at OfficeWorks (office supply chain). We'll catch up soon mate!

  • Good idea. I think the small book would be nice if spiral bound. Mine fell apart, hense why I am not a fan. But for size, then yes the small one is awesome.

  • Shawn, keep posting these vids, they do the FoW community a good service, by giving us publicity! Now If only I could find a few hundred bucks to get some of your work to Australia!

  • You're a professional, right? If not, you're freaking pro with terrain. I'm sure you've heard that a million times, but a million and one won't hurt ;)

  • He's a pro, and he sells it to people. Most of the stuff he puts up here as a "project" is for a person who is payin him. I think.

  • This table makes me want to cry.

  • Nice mate, waiting on the next part!

  • nice. cant wait for the second part. job on the finished bored...

  • off topic... but where are you? a classroom? btw awesome table
