Just putting in my 2 cents. Im a hunter myself and I only hunt animals that could be eaten and will be eaten. I think people that hunt coyotes are not real hunters. And I'm not trying to offend anyone but that's really what I think. Hunting means to put a plate on your table. @dkman4life123 i also live in california about 100 miles from la. just buy a mouth call and start calling stay in a stand for about 20-30 minutes if nothing comes in switch to a different stand. coyotes usually hang out in canyons and river beds those types of places. i like to call at either the bottom or top of conyons. and i lke to call an hills that lead into flat areas try ordeing the foxpro combo hand calls that is a good start, i hope this helped happy calling!!!

Animal control couldn't even take them out unless they were directly endangering a human with rabies etc. So we don't really have a "coyote problem" unless you mean the fact that they are there. @dkman4life123 i also live in california about 100 miles from la. just buy a mouth call and start calling stay in a stand for about 20-30 minutes if nothing comes in switch to a different stand. coyotes usually hang out in canyons and river beds those types of places. i like to call at either the bottom or top of conyons. and i lke to call an hills that lead into flat areas try ordeing the foxpro combo hand calls that is a good start, i hope this helped happy calling!!!

Up until very recently it was forbidden. Animal control couldn't even take them out unless they were directly endangering a human with rabies etc. So we don't really have a "coyote problem" unless you mean the fact that they are there. Is that what you mean? I don't quite understand the way you peeps think so yeah. Anyways when you check I think you will see that the coyote population is just about right. Also, the word "proble" has an M at the end bud.

I've been hunting them for over 20years, and I was taught by a guy that has been hunting them for 50, and he learned from someone else so you lose! I think bunny huggers like you are jealous of the tradition and comradery we hunters all share. We do way more for the conservation of animals than any other group. Oh yea..coyotes aren't dogs, and they'll eat your dog!

Biologists have determined that coyote populations do not need to be kept in control as far as numbers in california. There are not too many. Only problem animals are killed.
