Mussorgsky is one of my best composers. His music is amazing. His music was initially composed for piano and here is orchestrated by another famous composer, Ravel
I am crazy about this version of Mussorsky's classic. Ravel was truly the master of transcription, in my opinion: his voicing and choice of instruments for the various portions and themes of the music just "fit" so remarkably well. Much as i like elements of the ELP adaptation, this one is most definitely my favorite.
