  • Great video mate 5*. The first shot at the crossing was fantastic. Where is this? It looks a great place to film!!

  • yes, a trypical high-pictched LNER whistle as carried by the original A1's in front of the cab, and an A4 chime whistle tucked behind the smoke deflector.

  • Two whistles because a two-tone warning device is required to meet current standards so it was felt that, in addition to the authentic A1 whistle, a 3-tone A4 chime would be preferable to a diesel/electric type device.

  • I was on Tornado that day and we had a fantiac day out - a last present from my late Father - Bless Him! :-)
