  • if you really care for your engine and want to do this th right way, remove your intake manifold and clean all the crap out to avoid it going through the combustion chambers

  • No smoke came put of my 1990 4.3 chevy silverado. It's EFI. so its carbureted??

  • @000x7 it has electronic fuel injection. My s10 4.3 has throttle body injection, which is a form of fuel injection, but it looks like a carburetor.

  • They use it on marine outboards and it does miracles.

  • should i just use it in the gast tank?

  • can i use sea foam to clean my egr valve??

  • @lilphatboi yes

  • Screw that! I'd only put a lil in the gas tank .. never put anything other than oil and oil treatment like Lucas or restore .. any other chemicals will eat right through the seals and o rings

  • @bblazeff1 seafoam is 100% petroluem and has no chemicals

  • ok it will stop smoking in like 2 mins? wel mine is still smoking after months....this shit fucked my motor... i now have a blown head gasket and oil leaks out everywhere... :(

  • Comment removed

  • As far as pouring any chemical distillates down the throttle body or vacuum hoses, I will not recommend doing that either. The distillates often reacts negatively with plastic parts and some sensors, even tho Seafoam claims it will not, I have worked on vehicles with failed sensors due to chemical distillates. The best thing to do is change sensors as required, get a complete tune up regularly, as well as oil changes. Adding small amounts Seafoam to the fuel tank is the only option I recommend

  • As an auto mechanic, I do not recommend using any distillates in the crankcase for 2 good reasons: if the engine has a weak oil pump then removing some build up will cause it to fail entirely as it tries to push the oil thru bigger gallies. The second reason is if the engine has old hard cracked seals and valve guide seals the chemical distillates will wash them away leaving you with major repairs. If your smart you won't pour anything but fresh motor oil in the crankcase of your vehicle.

  • I didn't wait 5 minutes before turning the car on again, I wonder if that's why it didn't help my car

  • @launchmusicc Letting seafoam sit, allows it to break down the carbon and oils a bit before starting.

  • 0:14 I'm so glad they showed that. I was looking for how to put that in my cougar, and I have the same 3.6 V6 RWD as shown in the video!

  • so easy a woman can do it lol

  • so do i put it in while my car is running or not?

  • normal emissions

  • haha @0:55

  • Do not put this in the oil. There is no advantage.

    916smog.com

  • but now that my car has so much power back the tranny can't handle it so when u put petal to the floor the rps rev up really high and go's no where unless I have it n 3rd gear then it don't slip as bad

  • Well you see my car was setting for so many years when I used seafoam it like opened everything up cleaned the injectors and gave my car power, before I seafoamed when I'd put my foot on gas pedal to the floor and it wouldn't have any power at all is would feel like it misses after seafoam it gave my cars power back

  • 240p we meet again.

  • I bet that engine got hydrolocked! She never gave it a brake in the pcv valve!

  • i bought a firebird gta after it sat for many years first ran seafoam omg the power it gave back into the car like its in its prime... only one problem it gave me so much power that it pointed out i have a bad tranny lol.... oh well!

  • @wengertime89 How did it point out you had a bad tranny?

  • do i have to put it on the gas tank at the same time? because i put some in the gas tank about 3 weeks ago, but now i am thinking of putting some on the crankcase and brake booster line

  • daaaamn girl to the right 4 down !!!!!!!

  • SeaFoam - Can we get a demonstration on a car that's not from the horse&Wagon era? Wtf is a carburetter? (lol) Seriously though, I'm worried about doing this on a modern day advanced engine...

  • @ATCRyderX Worried? Ha man, this is the best thing for your engine without rebuilding! Especially rotarys with all the carbon build up. It gets rid of tons of carbon and gunk.

  • sea form is best of the best, saved me $500 due to the cat is bad engine check lights on,some1 tried to charge me $500 to fix the cats on my 02 xterra SE,it also increase the MPG from 16/18frw to 19/24frw,feel more power instanly!

  • Put it in the oil?????? I can't see how that's not dangerous.....can anyone explain?

  • Why is there a video in the suggestions about a girl with a round butt showing off on cam?

  • @mstblue cuz she wants the guys seafoam if u kno what i meaaaann ;)

  • @mstblue

    Why are you complaining?

  • That Escort is gonna need more than Seafoam...

  • @TheBjohnrussell They all do. I'm not one to promote videos, but check out oxy acetylene vs. Ford escort. If you hate Ford, it's amazing.

  • I didn't understand this fully, do you first warm up the engine for 5 mins, turn it off and start pouring the seafoam in the Carb, cylinder head and petrol tank, and then turn on the engine?

  • My left ear enjoyed this video

  • Seafoam should be renamed to fucking miracles. I ran this through an 06 corolla pushing 100K miles and it made a huge difference. The engine was dirty as hell.

  • Does this crap up your cats?

  • @Marinesniper1000 Who needs cats.. gut them or cut them. :)

  • @mgbadboyz Won't it fail Emissions without em?

  • @Marinesniper1000 ya but it depends where u live. Im in florida, there are no emissions regulations here. I have no cats in my camaro lol. no need for them.

  • @mgbadboyz I hate you lol Pennsylvania blows haha

  • sea foam is good for cars - it's got electrolytes!

  • @codenamedav

    hylarious

    916smog.com

  • U hate when realize is spelled realise but people don't understand its based on location

  • A sea foam enema will loosen your shit. The uses are endless.

  • idk whats wrong, but my 110cc pocket bike will start up and i can ride it for about 5 minutes, but then it starts to bog down and i can barely even go on it, then it will die. i bought it off a guy from craigslist and it worked perfectly fine until water got in my gas tank but i drained my tank then put new gas in, cleaned my carb, and now my bike bogs down. someone please help me! would seafoam fix this problem bc i also think the carb jet might be clogged or something

  • @PlanBx13 Its not too hard to clean out your jets on a minibike..

  • DONT USE THIS CRAP it ruins the cylinders, cylinder heads, pistons, piston rings, valves, you name it where ever yo put it it will ruin it!

  • @joeyf504327 what did seafoam do to you?

  • @proaerro it puts dirt in your engine and ruins your valves, piston, piston rings, cylinder, cylinder head, causes pre-detonation it is complete crap dont do it

  • @joeyf504327 it puts dirt in your engine? Please tell me how it does that? If you think that then your just pretty much dumb because seafoam isn't dirt so how does it put dirt in your engine? Maybe your an idiot and had dirt on your booster line and it sucked it in, or it came from somewhere else or you were not working clean when putting it in....

  • @punx8086 the dirt is washes away gets left behind in your combustion camber you know where the fuel and air go to burn and engine run it gets stuck in there an scores ur piston head, piston rings, cylinder walls, and cylinder heads

  • @joeyf504327 your comments don't make sense dude. If it Washes away how does it get left behind and burned, read you comment and think about it.If it gets washed away it means it got burned and went out your tail pipe. Also if you have dirt in your intake or throttle Body it means you air filter is fucked up. All that should be in your intake is Carbon Buildup and whatever dirty fuel leaves behind...Oil Filters pick up Dirt dude that's what they are for.

  • @joeyf504327 It cleans the varnish, its just a fancy name for carb or injector cleaner,if your worried about dirt, change your oil, if you already have ethenol in your gas, your tank is already dry as a bone, if your just looking for a good smokescreen, drill some metal brakelines to your catalytic conv.feed it motor oil,"i have a lil pump by my foot "the kind 2 fill air mattresses" a couple pumps, and nobody behind you will be able to see a thing, cops either.

  • @IDIOTTSUNAMI haha i like that idea except you might ruin/clog your catalytic converter ruining performance but that is a neat idea i would like to see how much smoke that produces :)

  • @joeyf504327 i wanna put it in you

  • what a stupid yuppie name...its just an engine cleaner, call it that.

  • 71' MACH 1 LOVED HER SEA FOAM. NOT A TERRIBLE AMOUNT OF SMOKE, SMOOTH ASS IDLE, OIL CHANGE IN 100 MILES, NO WORRIES.

  • So you turn on the car, warm it up and pour seafoam, but then your supposed to restart the car after 5 minutes. Wtf When where you supposed to turn it off??

  • This stuff is amazing-you can put in gas, in the air cleaner or even in your oil. What it does however is anyone's guess.

  • @primesourcer lmao... too fucking funny! I honestly do wonder if this shit works. I just dumped a bottle in my 2002 Chevy Tahoe. I don't see any white smoke. I hope I wasn't punked out 10 bucks. O well ill hope for the best.

  • @valtierra2966 if you put it in your tank only then you won't see much smoke if any at all...You get the smoke when you put it in the booster line....

  • I used it on an 86 MPFI Camaro, and it worked great. It smoked bad the first time, and since I had a little left I decided to run it through again. The second time it barely smoked at all. It had a little more response, and it didn't screw up my O2 sensor.

  • Jeep Babes!!!

  • no i have been using sea foam in my drag cars for over 15 years i had a 72 nova i had just taken the motor apart and put it back together dirty as hell i wanted to see this stuff work i ran it threw and took the motor back apart to replace lifters and t was as clean as if i would hav cleand it when it was taken apart.. i would recomend using this before you are going to work inside the motor if running it wouldint hurt it first.....

  • Probably going to try it on my 2002 Pontiac Sunfire GT tomorrow.

  • Is this really working? or just a gimic? seems it only produces white smoke, if it really clean anything would the smoke came out brown gray and black?

  • Walmart sells funnels for $.69 and up, try one next time.

  • Put ur penis in there

  • I sooo want to try it this weekend on my 2003 CTS!!!

  • @davidelizh

I want to try on my 2003 CTS too! :D

  • which sea foam product is this?

  • would this stuff work on a slant six 1973 plymouth duster

  • @TheNumberSixtySix IDK does your 1973 plymouth duster run on gasoline?

  • I DRANK SEAFOAM AND NOW I CAN FLY --- A+++++ WOULD DRINK AGAIN!!!

  • @mtxrawkus lmao

  • @mtxrawkus o,o

  • @mtxrawkus me too! shit gave me bigger wings than redbull!

  • LOL at morons here who still do this on the new OBD/OBD II cars of today. This product is not recommended in modern cars. Don't believe me? Contact any car maker and tell them you want to put some snake oil down every hole possible. Unless your car is 25 years old and runs on leaded gasoline, lol, this is a huge waste of money. My co-worker did this last week in his 2006 F-150 and his engine light came on half hour later. About $500 for an O2 sensor later, he's ready to roll again. Idiot!

  • @porksniffer HaHa.

  • @rolodojo there's not such word as spelt, it's spelled, don't go correcting people if your shit isn't right too.

  • just treated my gas and engine (2003 yukon denali 6.0).....what a difference. i didnt get the mega smoke show some people get, but there was a noticable fog. after running down the highway for 10 minutes, i went to a side street to test out my launch. before, it was sluggish and seemed to struggle. it also idled rough. now, it idles smooth as silk, and i break all 4 tires loose off the line now! cant believe i drove it for so long without this stuff! i am now a regular seafoam customer!

  • @comatone1982 LOL....Placebo is a wonderful thing. You just wasted $15 but more importantly you risked destroying some of the emission controls and sensors on your car. The "I didn't get the mega smoke show" is because your motor wasn't dirty and you didn't pour enough snake oil in it lol. Today's gasoline are super clean. Use premium name brand gas, switch to synthetic oil, drop in a set of iridium plugs and NEVER pour any more shitt down a nice truck like the Denali!

  • @porksniffer ya.....it worked for me, im happy. you'll be happy to know i also cut out the cat converters cause they're a waste of metal......maybe ill try it on my quad next....then my boat......

  • @comatone1982 LOL....Yeah sure you did. And you pass emissions inspections how? Why not try it in your cornflakes and see if white smoke comes from your bunghole. You come across as another youtube keyboard warrior. I bet you don't have a quad and you certainly don't have a boat LOL

  • @porksniffer youre right. i dont have a quad. i have 2 quads. sold the boat, crashed the denali into a moose. denali ran great till then. btw, your last comment said i didnt get a smokeshow cause my motor wasnt dirty....so, youre saying this product will work if your motor is dirty then? im confused with your logic.

  • @porksniffer You are retarded. Seafoam works great. Todays gasolines may be cleaner, but what about the tanks they are stored in? The gasolines still create carbon build up, and it only costs $9 for a bottle that will keep your engine clean when used correctly.

  • I got a great deal at O'Reilly: buy 2 get 1 free, total $21!

  • so i have caburater that means i dont pour in vacuum line?

  • @crammage that was for fuel injected motors..carbs you pour it in the carb as you open the throttleinto all of its chambers... 1/3 of the cans worth

  • @HOTRODRICO already did i figured it out , went to seafoams website and read the can i think

  • @crammage vacuum line is for fuel injected. so if your that then pour away

  • I use red bull energy drink works good as seafoam

  • i should do this on my old quad that my uncle had laying around for 2 years. i use it often, but it sat for so long we had to unclog the gas injection nozzle in it. i think thats a clear indication of a dirty engine. lmao

plus it doesn't idle smoothly at all.

  • It's a fine product. Now what the hell does it do.

  • When you put Seafoam into the crank case, you need to drive it for no more than 500 miles, and no less than 75miles. Seafoam's petroleum breaks down oil so you can screw your engine up if you're not careful. Also, be cure you don't pour the seafoam in too fast into the PCV because you can hydrolock your engine. If you don't know, or you're not sure what you're doing, be sure to ask for help. You can seriously damage your engine if you're not careful.

  • Do you pour seafoam in your gas tank i have a 07 chevy cobalt ls

  • @bowler3008605 Did you watch the video? Lol

  • @bowler3008605 yeah.

  • I really never thought that this stuff would actually work but I've been using this stuff for the last 3 years and I'm really amazed with what it does. I just bought a 98 Mercury Mountaineer with 114,000 miles on it and can't wait to use this stuff on it. I'm really looking forward to the results.

  • My 2001 Saab Viggen didn't like it at all! but after it had its hissy fit out it ran much better lol it works well just make sure the hose stays on the pipe when u get it stared lol i got smoked out at my shop! :P

  • the car is running,y did he say restart the car after 5 mins

  • @hp11208

You want to turn off the engine immediately after pouring the 1/3 can into the vacuum lines. Then let it sit for 5 minutes.

  • im sure this stuff works but the thing that is bugging me is that some engines are so used to carbon build-ups that they depend on it,

for example some engines have very minor cracks and the carbon is acting like a seal and other thing is once the carbon has been removed the engine will start sounding like you need a thicker grade oil cause you will hear alot of tapping

i think this stuff was meant for new and well serviced engines.. can someone please shed some light on these subjects. thnx

  • @STFUMofo3 I have been using it once a year on my 2002 Honda Accord, and I now have 272,000 miles on it. She still runs like new.

  • Got a question about this stuff 1. I have a fuel injected engine by using the vacuum line do you pour sea foam in while motor is running, and also in the oil crankcase. 2. I was told by Advance Auto parts store that if you poured it in vacuum line too quick that it would lock up the motor. Were they full of it or can this happen.

  • @wolfmtns

it can happen....just pour slowly....motor will start to die/slow down if you pour too fast...when it starts to slow down...let up...try to maintain even idle....just take it easy.....stuff WORKS

  • @wolfmtns

Partly full of it. The engine won't lock up, but if it's overwhelmed by Seafoam and can't get enough air, it'll simply turn off...just restart it and resume if that happens.

  • @wolfmtns ofcourse they were telling you the truth. It will hydro lock your engine.

  • I love that everyone fights in the comments off a seafoam video lmao!!!

  • I am glad I youtubed this. I called a few mechanics and asked them how much it would coast for them to do this and the all quoted about $99. After this video it took me 10 minutes to do and saved me $99! Thanks ALLOT!!

  • so do i need to drain some engine oil or does the seafoam evaporates in my engine, im asking so it wont be overfilled with liquid

  • @changomoreno13 its recommended to change your oil after like 100 miles after using seafoam

  • @dukeboy3 ok thanks

  • Lets try it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @rolodojo your an idiot bro, seafoam works really well

  • @99GTM your an idiot bro, seafoam works really well

  • Hahahhahhhahhahahhahhahha!

  • iv heard that sometimes if u seafoam your engine it can clan out some of your seals and u can get oilds and and suchs true or false?????? and iv also heard that it can make your engine run worse and tick true or false..............................and i agre its time to update that video

  • @99GTM Thank you so much - Your my hero xx

  • Comment removed

  • @Rolodojo wow.. you have no idea what Seafoam is do you kid ?

  • @PsychoticXIntentions Spanky put that gun away

  • @PsychoticXIntentions apperently he doesnt. i used seafoam in my gas tank on my 97 Subaru SVX LSi. i do notice the difference in the idle. now just ot seafoam my inteak.

  • @Rolodojo shutup yur moms a whore

  • @hozeaquivo2 dont u realise u only strengthen my case when you resort to the totally original "your moms a ***** whatever" your IQ is impressive kid

  • @Rolodojo actually i don't realize your point in randomly talking shit about something random but shut the fuck up and do the world a favor and go kill yourself

  • @hozeaquivo2 learn to spell realise for starters spanky

  • @Rolodojo actually 'realize' is the correct way to spell it if you're in America. Stop being such an asshole, it's youtube.

  • @SICKSxNINE so its youtube so why are you being such an asshole having a go at poor ol' me because you dont know how to spell in your mutated language

  • @Rolodojo Obviously I know how to spell. Did you even read my comment? Real eyes, realize, real lies

  • @Rolodojo hey dumbass dont tell me how to spell and then misspell shit in the same sentence you fucking tard

  • @hozeaquivo2 oh i am sorry gangsta from the hood type, I hadnt realised I told you anything I believe it was SICKSxNINE I was debating spelling with now do run along theres a nice chap. Retard is how your mistake is spelt though i must add before I go. I await your crazy fool reply with anticipation. Tara for now.

  • What's the correct procedure for a 1998 GM 5.7 Vortec engine ?

I've been advised not to use brake booster/vacuum lines as the Seafoam will not reach all the parts it needs to. (I believe this a problem restricted just to the Vortec engine) ?

Please advise before I decide to try Seafoam.

  • Just want to be 100% on this. So after I put the seafoam through the PCV line, I shut it off, THEN put the rest in the crankcase and gas tank while the engine is off?

  • @SouthshoreVice Yes Make sure your pcv line feeds all cylinders, Then add remainder to the fuel and oil with engine off.

  • Sea Foam:

    Pale Oil 40-60%

    Naptha 25-35%

    Isopropyl Alcohol 10-20%

So its machining oil, oil-based solvent, and alcohol

  • so would i have to change my oil if i didnt put the seafoam in the oil pan?

  • should the vehicle die when you pour it in vacume lines/

  • @XD241 yeah you have to pour it in slow so you dont kill it

  • @MrInsaneMonkey I usually put a long vacuum line on an unused vacuum port on the intake and sit in the driver's seat so I can keep the engine running while it sucks the seafoam in.

  • @XD241 Raise the idle speed or pour the Sea Foam in slowly so the engine dosent kill.

  • I like the fact that the product and its package hasnt changed since the 80s when this was made. Good product.

  • and if you put it on your head your hair will start growing again, also a bit on the face after shaving and the girls will love you.. or something

  • jb0177 funny shit

  • Do i pour seafoam directly into my throttle body or threw the vaccum hose whats the difference

  • @xcosmicx02 no difference, but for some cars/trucks it might be easier to put it in a vacuum hose because of stuff being in the way

  • @xcosmicx02 doesnt matter you will get the same result

  • I busted my oil pan driving over construction workers. My carberater started to make funny noise. Put 3/4 can of seafoam in the windshield washer fluid thing, and 1/4 into the injured construction worker's ass. Like a miracle, both sprang back to life, good as new!!

    Thanks seafoam!!

  • no thanks

  • fuck yeah, I got my can of Seafoam for 10 bucks from Walmart, and im convinced by all of the testimonials on youtube and various other websites.... Im going to do a seafoam treatment to my 1988 Mazda B2200... I wasn't sure if it worked for carburetted engines, until this video, so im off to clean my engine like the noob that I am :)

  • @TheGreatBunghole16 So did it help?

  • @DanielRemains worked for a while, but the engine has had more serious issues for a while now. But for an engine that doesn't have issues with the lifters, i would definitely recommend it! :)

  • @TheGreatBunghole16 Yeah, when some parts fail it is impossible to fix them with some additive. It must be very good for the performance though. Thanks for replying, I was sure I would get no reply because of the age of your comment! Really appreciated.

  • Omg I busted my engine running 90psi thru the turbo then I pit some seedfoam in the radiator now the transmission and engine run like new!! This stuff is real!!

  • @jb0177 yea thts y u dnt run 90psi....

  • @jb0177 Heh 'seedfoam' LOL :P

  • They neglect to tell you to change the oil within 200 miles. Only time I use it is before my oil change.

  • @mhammarq You do not have to change oil after 200 miles. You can run Sea Foam in the oil as long as you want. The longer Sea Foam is in the oil, the better cleaning it will do. Chech your oil on a regular basis and when the oil looks dirty CHANGE IT.

  • they said to restart the engine. when do you turn it off?!

  • @epsig700 after you add Sea Foam through a vacuum line or carb or throttle body just shut engine off when finished application and let sit about 5 minutes before restarting, Then restart and drive for about 5 miles or so till exuast is clean.

  • @epsig700 you dont turn it off...
