I have this one and the earlier one. Yeah I got the amazon market working on mine and you can add many more apps to it once you get the amazon market working. I had to give amazon my credit card number to get their market working. I only download the free apps from them. Nice review man :)

There are several reasons why manufacturers would do this despite Android being open source. I responded to you in detail on my blog and gave you some reasons.

I have rooted tablets before but like you said for ~$60 not so bad to just keep it as is either, so we'll see. Will give Amazon Market a go after reading comments here. REALLY sux it has <4GB. No luck getting Adobe Flash Player for craig tablet. Not on Amazon or slideme. Android marketplace and Adobe do not have the craig tablet on their "certified device" list. I'm afraid to mess around because it is a craig b tablet and they supposedly turn into a brick if you try adding firmware or rooting.

I like my tablet and seriously think its a good tablet for the money. ! I reccomend this to my friends and to anyone who wants a in expensive tablet.
In order to get the Amazon App store to work. what I did is went on my computer and downloaded the apk file. where it says enter phone number, you can enter your email address. then go to ur email, download and save the amazon apk, load it on a usb and open and install it to the tablet..
@blueescortproject , u can downlaod apps off the amazon app store b/c i did . for the click 1 just put in ur cell phone # and add a card number & it will work

@blueescortproject Is theere a way to change the background picture? I want to you the Windows XP Bliss wallpaper as a background. I'm scared to play around too much wuth this thing.
@farcher3 It comes with some built in which you can access by hitting the submenu button when at the home screen and selecting wallpaper. To use one that is not on it you would have to load it on the memory card or copy the picture to the main memory. After you do that, just go to your photo viewer and view the one you want as the background. Hit the submenu button and there should be an option for "set as wallpaper"
Also had no problem with Wifi.... Connected, and stays connected whether turned off or battery drained.. My biggest complaint is no netflix yet.. And the one program that has learned how to get around that issue on most android, does NOT work on the craig.
Nice. I just came home with a 10 inch android tablet similar to this one. i was disapointed to find there was no stylus (Pen) because i find it very hard to type constantly pressing the wrong button.

Bought at Riteaid as a small tablet for my 6 year old daughter. You can load Amazon's app store which provides a lot more apps. Netflix won't work for me and games play choppy. Angry Birds works well if the background is off.
This uses an ARM chip whereas the 738a uses a weaker chipset. This has potential if someone can modify a more efficient ROM (like they did for the 738a).
@cbtee I couldn't get amazon app store to work although I will admit I was becoming frustrated with it. Also I really don't like dealing with anything amazon due to a bad customer experience I received from them.
You have the best in-depth review about this tablet on YouTube. I saw this tablet in Rite Aid and I was wondering about it. Might get it and wait to see if it can be rooted.

u need to set ur setting so it doesn't disconnect from the wi-fi ..it disconnects to save power..learn how to use the tablet before making a video
