Every other Q.B. Always says there the best and Joe Would Always down play is greatness that's a true champion his stats and rings speak for him even at his hof speech he brought out a huge list of every single team mate and coach he had . He was just simple the best better then all the rest , didn't they play that song after s.b. 24!!
Awesome. Where did you get the footage of Joe and his Dad throwing the football through the tire? I would really like to see where that's from. Thanks
Great video and montana does rule. However the song i think would have gone better with a look back at Steve Young's career. Anywho you rock and thanks for posting this. Brangs back memories
Watch Joe's feet. He had the best footwork. His field vision. Elusiveness. Toughness. Joe was just simply the best. I know all about Brady and Manning and everyone else. They're good but not that good.
Manning and Brady (Favre too) are great, and would be great in any era. But they play in a time where the rules are heavily skewed to the advantage of the passing game, and a time when defenders can get 15 yards, a fine, and a suspension, for two-hand-touching a QB too rough.
If Joe could play in today's NFL, he'd throw 50 TD passes year after year.
Neither Brady nor Manning could throw 40 a year in the 80s (though they would still be able to be great quarterbacks).
brady can't scramble for shit. At least with joe, when things got hot, he could scramble out and throw it on the run and do it accurately too. That's another arsenal that Joe had that Marino (another pocket qb like brady) didn't have back in '84 when the two matched up in the SB.
Agree about this statement about his footwork. Montana had beautiful footwork, perhaps the best other than a healthy Joe Namath. Not coincidently, but Bill Walsh loved Namath's footwork as well.

Great vid, thanks.
His run against the Giants was incredible. Few people remember how elusive he was.
