  • if something is put in my path i wont close my eyes and prey i will see the logic and solve it like i have always done. idead not from above but from my own head.

  • You make broad generalisations about what athiests know about Christianity in order to discredit them. What do you say about those athiests who do have a thorough knowledge of Christianity, many who were once Christians themselves and now would disagree with you. They disagree with you because they dicovered the BIbible is not God's word. Please don't say they were never real Christians or that they didn't really understand or that they weren't really sincere etc. - that's just a cop-out.

  • God is on another plane? Of course, you have evidence for that, right? If you don't read the bible literally, then who decides what the correct interpretation is? You make so many unsupported claims you're almost the definition of what's wrong with religion in the first place.

  • And you just proved of his points... We should only honor the part of the bible that makes sense. Right?.... Nevermind those parts that say we should kill people because god says so. Old testament.... Oh... Yeah we don't listen to those parts, they don't really mean what they say. Heh yeah... HAIL JESUS HES A NICE GUY!!!! lol

  • yes, you're right. there is in fact a stereotype, mainly because of things like you just said like "biblical truths" you can already tell theres no arguing.. the system that pulled you in doesn't allow it. so in turn, people make humorous videos like the ones you mentioned.

  • I think it's interesting that you mention Youtube. If Youtube existed during the time of Jesus, I think we would have been able to laugh Christianity off the face of the Earth sooner

  • I think it's interesting that you mention Youtube. If Youtube existed during the time of Jesus, I think we would have been able to laugh Christianity off the face of the Earth sooner.

  • lol, your's are simplistic and vague arguments.

  • You kind of proved Theologikos' points...all of them.

  • you're stupid like relgion ill worship that

  • Well to understand an atheist, you must understand where s/he is coming from. An atheist is simply logical, connecting things and making solutions when a gap in knowledge arises. A theist would rather state that it is not within his/her control or that it is incomprehensible,as you have said. If what you say is true and we do understand it when our spirit releases then great! I'll believe you. But until then, the unclear connection of God's existence to reality is too vague for me to understand.

  • Can not be intellectualy understood ? I guess this means not to use reason / brain, but heart / wishfull thinking. Since when citing bible means ''Stereotips & media'' And yes- It is simple.''Not literary'' is the oldest & the cheapest way to justify overwhelming absurd nonsens. Christianity can not be understand by natural human senses ? Like common sense ? Yeah ! Don't ask questions, don't think, just trust, have faith.....and falow your shepherd....IF you are sheep

  • stop trying to be clever you delluded middle aged balding jobless bastard

  • Hey @crashpilot -- I can understand why "the group" represents moral authority for you (and many others). But true open-mindedness would dictate that "objective knowledge" is the only true basis for morality. For example, if homosexuality is actually detrimental to the internal (psych/emotional) make-up of a human being (and society) and yet the prevailing knowledge base classifies it as simply a value-free physiological condition, the group's morality is flawed no matter how much agreement.

  • @crashpilot2 ay. I guess the bottom line for this reply would be who defines what is "right"? Why is there even a "right" or a "wrong"? Unless there are some absolutes around here, why shouldn't I just try to get whatever I want and to hell with you? If there are principles of right/wrong operating, there is necessarily an authority behind them. Because if we are purely by-chance life forms who live, die, and that's it, there is no intrinsic VALUE. It's all just neuro-chemical brain reactions.

  • @crashpilot2 If there is an "objective" reality, then your own moral code is irrelevent because now you must find out and align yourself with the way things really are, even if you don't fully understand them. You must become ACTUALLY open to the truth, rather than defining it yourself, and you personal bias, prejudice, desires, etc. all become subject to the way things ACTUALLY are. Most people don't find that to be a comforting idea. They'd rather run the show or at least pretend they do. :-)

  • @crashpilot2 I don't think I'm implying that atheists do not possibly each have their own moral code. However if there is not a God, then what is the BASIS for that code? It's basically arbitrary, based on genetics and human experience, right? However, if God created everything, then that gave Him the right to define morals and in fact the "way things are" in every realm, whether it be physical, human internal (emotional/mental), or spiritual (invisible divine laws).

  • @KracknCorn -- He did do that, even raised at least one person from the dead, but even some of the EYE WITNESSES did not believe in Him! It is because there are more ramifications to allowing yourself to believe He's ACTUALLY THERE. If you do, suddenly you might not feel ok about doing whatever you want, whenever you want to. It's a little thing called your ego, or pride. :-)

  • I would believe in god if he did just one simple thing. Actually come down from his cloud and say HI!... to everyone. Not a big deal if you created the universe and you wanted people to believe in you. Until that day happens, I'll believe in my rock. It's strong, does exactly what its suppose to, and I named it Rocky. You can believe in it too... but it might not be real.

  • Wait so things that are written in the bible are not meant to be taken literally? How do you decide what is to be taken literally and what's not to be taken literally? If you don't take some things literally, why take anything literally? I find it quite amusing that you are so quick to call Theologikos' arguments simplistic. His arguments are fact-based. He dissects quotes from the bible, but oh yeah, those quotes aren't meant to be taken literally. It seems like you are the simplistic one.

  • @adamgoldmansk8sss Right, I was wondering the same thing. and apparently we get super awesome beer goggles if we're "born again" cuz apparently that's the only way to discern what's literal and not.

  • BIBLICAL TRUTH, make's me laugh each time i hear that

  • GOOD JOB BROTHER BASH THE BLIND ATHEISTS BELIEFS!

  • this guy is a moron

  • If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days. -- Deuteronomy 22:28-29

If a girl is raped, the rapist gets the girl.

How can you call that morally just?

To me this sounds like: You break it you buy it.

    Are women objects to you!?

  • You're not as funny as Theologikos. You claim that atheists like to take pieces of the bible and use them to stereotype Christians. Christians, Jews, and Muslims have all long taken pieces from their respective books to use as they see fit and to claim a higher moral road even while acting in a completely immoral way. Is this stereotyping? Perhaps. But is the bible the word of god or is it not the word of god?

  • FUCK YOU CUNT

  • keefah85

Stop taking Bible out of context

    watch?v=3POEuxG2Rnk

  • Know what the difference between Christian's & Atheist's arguments are? Atheists build their arguments around science, and Christians build theirs around a 2000 year old book that has more despicable things in it than a horror movie script.

  • @JeremyOrOmega christians wish it was 2000 years old it was rewritten entirely by king james in the 1600's

  • sectum maby your right about that if god wrote the bible it would be so perfict that man could not understand, But wait! whats this. no could it be? god had Moses write it he had Ezekial He had all the apostials John Peter Even Judis wrote to name some. have you ever cracked open the bible kid? what the heck is this world coming to? OH yea revelations tells me what its comeing to and it dosent look pritty for you athiest. If I were you and belive me I was id atleast read and pray for forgivness

  • ???

How do you interpret the bible? How do you know that your interpretation is right and the literal interpretation is wrong? How do you know anything in the bible is true?

How can you prove the existance of something that you cannot see or hear? How do you know the christian god is the one true god? Have you ever criticised your own beliefs? Do you have the mind of a 5 year old?

    ???

  • You say atheists take things literatly out of the bible.

Ok explain this then, if god wrote the bible then his words are divine, so simple man cannot understand its meaning. So nothing from teh bible can any man understand so everything every christain does is under false meaning.

I just disproved your argument, you fail old man.

  • @sectumsempra55 What would be the point of God giving us His word if we couldn't understand it? Have you ever considered that? God created us in His likeness and gave us enough understanding to interpret His word with the help of the Holy Spirit. What kind of God would we have if He created us, but didn't allow us to understand Him? That's completely pointless. I believe your comment was a fail.

  • HYPOCRISY!!!!! Is it not a stereotype to assume that all atheists stereotype Christians?

  • I was just looking back at old videos I watched before and looking back at this... and WTF...

  • "it can't be intellectually understood," that explains ALOT, thanks! ^_^ LOL

  • Comment removed

  • "[The bible] can not be intellectually understood"

    You got that right :P

  • "Biblical truth"? What makes you think the Bible is true? If you believe it's the word of God, then you must accept every jot and tittle. If you don't accept its manifold atrocities, then you can't believe that it's the word of God. Hence you have no basis for believing any of it.

"The Bible cannot be intellectually understood". Speak for yourself, brother.

  • Ummm because Buddhism does not demand the worship of gods, does not believe in a magic soul and is a great system of morality and philosophy. Also compared to Yahweh, Satan is not that bad of a guy...

  • I was raised Catholic for 18 years, and in that time I saw more ugliness and hate then I have since I left. I'm now 31. If God is love, then he would be 'jealous' or 'wrathful'. He wouldn't teach hate, or encourage violence. The God I read about in the Bible growing up, was a cruel and merciless being, who would smite people or whole communities simply because he didn't like what was going down. You know what? If that is the kind of God you want to follow, you go right ahead. I'll happily burn.

  • *would=wouldn't

  • I agree.

  • "He wouldn't teach hate, or encourage violence."

We are no longer under the Mosiac Laws, and they did not have forgiveness of sin back then either it was atoned for.

"who would smite people or whole communities simply because he didn't like what was going down."

Again they did not have forgiveness of sin back then it was atoned for, the wrath of God abided to those who were wicked and rebelled against his will.

  • You blame Theologikos for getting random bits out of the bible and quoting them, but isn't that exactly what christians do? Such as, Do not comit murder. Doesn't God kill people every 3 pages??!

  • He does a whole hell of lot more than that, he orders genocide, allows rape of female prisoners, he is cool with slavery, commands the slaughter of babies and gets in on the action himself sometimes... I've been reading it, and it is a very fucked up book....

  • Agreed, and that's not even half of it.

  • @lokitagaby17 you need to at least understand that God didn't kill people. People killed people.

  • @dangernick7 You need to understand that most of the murders of this world wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for religion.

  • @lokitagaby17 Actually more people have been killed do to Racism, Land and Property. Sure people have died because of religion, but many more people have been spiritually saved and just because you don't believe in the same thing that Religious People do, doesn't make you anymore right than them. Plenty of people who didn't believe in a higher being have killed people and usually when it comes to their time, what do they do? All of a sudden they see the light and say, "Lord save me!"

  • @dangernick7 spiritually saved? indians in the rain forests, living free and peaceful for thousands of years. now, after their forced conversion they are damned to walk through the dirty streets of the big cities (from the descendants of the people who took their land forcefully and brutal), taking drugs and cleaning shoes for little cash. which muslims and jews were "spiritually saved" during the crusades? the ones who didnt want their women and children to lay in their guts? come on.

  • @lokitagaby17 God is the creator and has right to take back the life which He has made. He doesn't allow us to do so because it isn't our life to take. When we murder is out of our own hatred, which is what makes it wrong.

  • occam's razor allows for simplistic explanations. Being "born again" doesn't mean you get to shape the passages in the bible to your convenience. The bible was written by imperfect men, so it is an imperfect book, I wont create a moral compass on a flawed book.

  • I find it odd that

    1. Christian videos are flooded with atheists, and atheist videos are flooded with Christians 2. You seem to lack even a basic understanding of your religion. Christianity nowadays is so mutated it turned to a clusterfuck of agreeing with the bible when it benifits you and when it makes your entire religion seem crazy and idiotic you say others don't understand it's "true meaning", so what is the "true meaning" of Jesus drowning 2000 pigs? Please enlighten my inferior mind.

  • Nonsense, I am a true Christian. Have you made your animal sacrifices of the day?

  • Yep, I ripped the head off a bird the other day and splattered its blood all over the base of the altar just like the good book says. I also sold my daughter yesterday so I could buy a new car. Today I plan on killing my own brother with a knife because he suggested I worship the Hindu God Vishnu... gotta go sharpen my knife!

For idiots out there I'm joking.

  • i dont think u know as much about religion as u think u do.

  • Care to demonstrate?

  • if im correct in assuming u r mocking christianity in general, ive never heard of a christian sacrificing an animal since the dark ages, also, a true christian loves and respects his/her fellow man regardless of religious affiliation. the stereotypes u bring up dont even occur in a normal christian life. furthermore, god is not "cool" with the atrocities humans commit. we are given free will and must decide for ourselves what kind of ppl we r 2 b.

  • I have heard of christians letting their children die instead of taking them to the doctor because Jesus said really, really believing in something will make you all better. The very message of Christ is not to question things and believe them blindly, because if you do, you can do MAGIC. So the teaching of christ are not only profoundly immoral, they are dangerous. BTW care to define "free will" because I have a feeling you don't know as much about the human brain as you think you do.

  • once agan u r displaying ur lack of knowledge. how many christians do u know who have sold their children or have poured gas on them for stealing a cookie? u dont get 2 claim 2 b an expert on something u know nothing about. get off the pedistal. i could make idiotic assumptions about atheists, like their moral bankrupcy and lack of humility. i could also assume that atheists run around in little devil costumes forcing ppl 2 commit adultery. pretty rediculous, right?

  • I have to admit, that the fundies are more rational than you are, because they atleast believe the whole thing or nothing, which is a rational standpoint. Because how do YOU know which parts to believe and which parts to write of as bullshit? Did it ever cross your mind that there is lots of tax free money to be made every sunday on this nonsense and that you bought their snake oil hook line and sinker?

  • the bible isnt supposed 2 b taken literally. its all about simple moral lessons: love thy neighbor b a good person dont b decieved by evil it doesnt matter if these stories didnt actually happen. thats not the point also, christians dont HAVE to agree with everything the bible endoctorines i dont believe gays go to hell even tho the bible suggests that they do. it is the word of god, but it was man who interpreted this word so some views would obviously b reflections of their surrounding society

  • Simple moral lessons? When is the last time you read this thing? You mean lessons like it's ok to beat and torture your slave? How bout how it says you can rape prisoners of war? Or how about how GOD HIMSELF said you can sell your daughter into slavery. My all time favorite is the moral lesson of how you should kill your child if God tells you to do it (not to mention the children of others). So all in all your point is your cherry pick from this sickening book for the very few good parts.

  • and thats y u should stick 2 ranting about something u r well educated on. pretty simple. btw free will is the ability to choose your own actions and thoughts, people CHOOSE to rape and kill others, god doesnt just "let it happen".

  • and this presents a problem. you see, people choose to rape and kill others, and god, despite his "omnipotence", DOES allow it. he has the power and knowledge to stop such things, but chooses not to prevent them from happening. typically this is known as ALLOWING. how can you say that the person being raped is given free will if an all-powerful being is simply allowing someone else to rape them? after all, i think rape and murder qualify as negation of the victim's free will.

  • unfortunately, u r correct. bc of the free will of certain sadistic individuals harm can be done to those who dont deserve it (no one deserves 2 b raped in any case) my explanation will probably not satisfy u bc ik it doesnt fully satisfy me. god puts his believers thru tests to strengthen faith, so ive been told. it seems pretty cruel 2 me, but ive been taught that every event has a hidden reason behind it, even the bad events

  • @HoldOnNowWhatIsThis God didn't create us to be mind controlled robots. We prove our love and devotion by taking the free will He gave us, and using it to honor Him. Evil is the absence of God, as darkness is the absence of light. God can be in all things, but this is where the free will He gave us comes in. We have to let Him in. Read Revelations 3:20 for crying out loud...

  • what's worse is the whole idea of god sacrificing himself to himself because that is the only way he forgives sins (by a blood sacrifice) is not only immoral it's INSANE. BTW do you think it's "moral" to burn your creations forever and ever for doing something as simple as telling a lie? That's like dumping gasoline on your child and setting him on fire because he snuck food out of a cookie jar when you told him not to. Yahweh makes Darth Vader look like a godamn saint.

  • the answer is the chirstians are basically the only religion that says if you do not belive you will burn in hell for all eternity and you guys are the biggest religion

  • god made you in his image?

    was god ugly? rofl

  • I have answered you question but it was too long to post as a video or channel comment.

I will mail you or anyone else that wants to hear my point of view.

    Please relpy

  • Dawkins and Hitchens have intellect

and Eddy Murphy and Chris Rock are funny.

So what does that make Theologikos? A really bad mix of atheism and comedy gone wrong. Im guessing he has seen a few comic atheist on you tube and is trying to imitate them. So he is actually making theism look good and embarassing himself and atheist.

Its not that he wishes to seek real truth as Bad Humor is an evasion of reality.

  • hahaha "biblical truth"...

isnt that an ironic grouping of words

  • But... Religion leads the weak, sponge minded, infants of the world.

  • didn't God say you have to take his everyword as truth? if you have a disobeying son you most stone him to death.. If that is not what God is telling you to do, what is he telling you to do?

  • Most Christians point to symbolism for certain passages in the bible. But even the symbolistic interpretations would be insane. Some insane passages must describe moral lessons? Ok so what moral lessons should be learned from those?.

  • you are one of the most stupid people in the world , where did you get all this information from because it says nothing about what your saying in the bible , and of course its meant to be taken litterally why the fuck else would god write it ? if you do your research you'll find the bible is simply a copy of older pagan religions based round the sun and its movements , quite simply the bible is a stupid lie and its written like a fairy tale yet you fucking beleive it !!

  • hahahahahaha he said "Biblical Truth"

  • Theologikos is damn funny. You're damn lame.

He doesn't take Christianity from the media, he takes it directly from the bible! Okay, think about it. What is not funny about Jesus sending 2000 pigs over a cliff?!?!?

  • so, the bible is meant to be taken literally? so your perfect creator's word for word testament is one big metaphor? does this mean that god himself is one big metaphor? as well, the "bible cannot be intellectually understood". i agree, so why would anyone believe something that they can't understand? complete stupidity.

  • So someone who is a "born-again Christian" has infinite knowledge of the bible and can fully understand God's will? You're trying to take half of the Bible and throw out the rest. GTFO my youtube.

  • Wow my literalness shrunk to half size just listening to this.

  • You've obviously never read that bible of yours :)

  • Dude, you are taking me WAY too serious. I'm an entertainer, not a philosopher. Also, if I want a serious discussion about religion, YouTube is not the place!

Bla bla bla, white noise, bla bla bla. Thanks for the video response :)

  • Bullshit is bullshit, no matter how you spin it. A theologian can start with bullshit, talk in circles for an hour, and still have bullshit. The Bible can be "reinterpreted" a million times, and it is still bullshit. And if God can't be discerned, how do you know the people who wrote the Bible knew what they were talking about?

  • No, most Christians have the mental age of a 12 year old and the average American has the mental age of a 15 year old.

  • You may be interested in my story based on my long background in christianity.
