the big problem with electro drums and electronic instruments is, they always sounds same like triggering a tape machine , when u hit an acustic snare drum u would always hear slightly different sounds... I think the solution is making more realistic and variable presets for better feeling and more natural sounding kits, for example velocity sensitive and variable sounding drums or lead instruments.
@MrMinusguy Electro drums is smaller, easy to record, and you've not problems with neighbours..but I'm with you acoustic is better in fact I've both..
@awakesleo Yeah, it`s rather convinient to record and transport, you can play in headphones... But acoustic is cheaper and sounds better. I don't give a fuck, I just don`t have money to buy any of them!=D
@madococo Indeed. If you record acoustic drums you ought to put a mic on each drum and it's still hard to avoid unwanted noises, and if you record electrodrums you just connect a cable to a midi-input, press record button and voila!
