Beautiful and heartfelt! Death has already been conquered by Jesus Christ through His Resurrection. No guilt in life, no fear in death, that is Christ in me.
@dadhunt1947 Yeah the world is such an evil place... Our only hope is God.. we should always be thankful that God has shown us who He is.. lol some people have no clue who God is :(

I had a similar incident, davjam95. A little over 20 years, I was told by an ER doctor that I had a blood clot in my lung and if it were to move to my heart, I would die instantaneously. Lying in the hospital and awaiting a transfer to another hospital, I, too, had the most peaceful feeling I've ever experienced and seemed to sense the Lord saying, "this is what it is going to feel like when I call you home." I now have no fear of death whatsoever.
I spent nine weeks in the hospital last year and three of them the doctors didn't think I would make it.I couldn't explain why Ifelt so calm and at peace but your song does, thank you and God Bless, Sandra DeMaris
Put capo on second fret and play along using key of G. Would like this at my funeral. This is the only kind of music I will listen to. Thanks for posting.

Hi, please forgive me for taking so long to respond, but you are very welcome. I, too, want this song to played/sung at my funeral, which I know will not be long now, praise God and may He bless you richly!
This was taped for a local cable show. Julian Lillard is the guitar player and host. His son Steve played the banjo, and sad to say Steve has passed away. I forget the fiddle player's name, but she is just about the very best fiddle player I have ever seen. Jim Eanes was such a great talent.
What a good song to end it all with. We should all be so blessed. He sure had a sweet country sounding voice.
