  • What happened to this young lady? She is great!!!...

Please have her back, give her another chance.

  • damn...

    she's great live.

  • I was there! Rissi's performance changed my life! I'm a huge country music lover now! I don't know how I went 26 years without listening to country. RISSI IS AMAZING!!!

  • lol as one of my cute male white friends said...man blacks taking over country now too???lol...

  • No, blacks are not taking over country music. They have been involved in it since its beginnings, but they were basically excluded from the commercial part of it, with several selected exceptions, for several decades.

  • aww that sucks i thought about singing country before...thought people wouldnt like it...now she is opening doors...go RISSI!!

  • You misunderstood my comment. Blacks are not trying to "take over" country music, as your friend suggested. They're trying to be "actively involved" in it. "MY COUNTRY, THE AFRICAN DIASPORA'S COUNTRY MUSIC HERITAGE." is a 300-plus page book solely about African American involvement and Exclusion, from country music from its beginnings. Written by an award winning African American Woman. As one of those independent African American Country artists, Yes, Rissi should "Go For It!"

  • it makes me feel REAL HAPPY when I hear this song knowing my aprents are from the country towns of alabama

  • my hubby and i are black we love country music.

  • This young lady is country thru and thru. Next big hit for Nashville.

  • yes she is an amazing talent, and she will revolutionize her profession just like shania, or lil texas...Being country is the attitude about life not where you are geographically located...rock on Rissi, I look forward to seeing youin concert

  • I Love ya!!!! As an African American raised on gospel and soul, you have given me a respect for something new. I love Country Girl, and feel it. My 8 year old daughter absolutely loves country, and my husband and I hadn't been able to figure it out, but I guess if it is in you, it is in you. You have given her an inspiration that I couldn't. Love Ya- Keep doing what you doing' Country Girl.

  • im a black guy and love all music..i first started listening to country when i decided i first heard the dixie chicks and then i back tracked to older country artist ...way to go rissi ...im really happy that others are starting to open their ears

  • I am African American and as a general rule do not listen to country music. However, when I heard Rissi, not only was I "blown away" but she actually made me say to myself...."Who else is in country music that I may like but don't know about?...." What really hits me is her honesty when she is just talking and being herself. This girl is really going far. And she's going to open up country music much like Tiger Woods opened up Golf!

  • I love country music and I'm a black girl so it's nice to see a female black country singer. I love her music, her personality, and her CD is great!

  • Thats what I'm talking about! A sista in country!
