So far upon listening, I see no indication of a "delibrate" attempt to "dumb down Americans." To teach individuals to be welcoming of multicultralism and sexual orientation, is not "dumbing down" Americans.

Here in Aus the kids dont get any formal history lessons other than the history of the aboriginals, which at best is none existent. My kids science at age 16 is the same as mine at age 12 ...go figure !

This makes some sense looking back at my GC, not even asking me what kind of MATH I was taking. When you move from an A school to a C school system & she looks at the Grade &didn't ask what kind of Math(algebra 8th grade) down to (fractions 5th grade) it sucks. Dumbing down AMerICANS at the lose of their creativity, critical thinking or self-esteem is stupid. Music, Arts, Languages r key strengthens for childhood development.
