After Shaq took the whole backboard down against the Bullets when he was in Orlando they started making much stronger supports and glass, if Howard played in the era where the rim and the support were weak, there is no question he would rip the rim off. There is one dunk against the Wizards where i felt like the guy was going to rip the rim of.
