yes it is i got the same one but XP version with 12 gb it got super performance mode and i can run CS:S on medium setting with out laggin so its cheap and good

i like this. the lack of optical drive does not bother be because i use my 900 (hope to get a 901 soon) because it is easy to use on the go as i spend a lot of time on the road

idk on that certain model he waz showin but they usally run 350 - 450 and u can buy it from amazon or pc liqudators located on phillips highway in jacksonville fl headed towards the avenews mall peace out  lil jojo

it's because of the price maybe? and because it has only ONE usb-port, so you have to decide whether you want to use your external dvd-drive OR your mouse OR your scanner.. (if you don't use a usb-hub... but when you aren't @home you wouldn't want to take more and more kables and adapters with you)

I am talking about the soul criticism of the optical drive i think its unfair if you criticise one product because of a lacking and then don't criticse another product for that same lacking. Granted there are a lack of USB ports. And i think you are missing the point of the macbook air and eee pc, you should take a scanner away with you and i'd go as far as to say a mouse!

its one thing if the macbook had a 8.9" screen, but it doesnt. There are plenty of ultra thin laptops that size, that light that have a dvd drive. The air could.. but again, i dont mind either.. just pointing it out.
