1400 degrees wont melt steel.. But will render it unless to deal with its service load.. The buildings did well to stand for as long as they did.. The only issue I have is the dry wall surrounding the inner core columns, quite clearly these should have been protected by concrete and building regs should change as a result.. Here's what I don't understand: At 5:12, in order to back the claim that the towers came down in 10 seconds, they show the collapse of WTC2 along with a timer - and they stop the timer at 10 seconds.

BUT what happens at 10 seconds that lead them to conclude THAT is the moment the collapse is complete?? Looks the same at 11 seconds as it does at 9; the collapse is still going unabated

The Twin Towers were not a steel framed building. It was designed in a new high tech fashion. Search for pictures of it's construction. It's was different than any other high completed. The core of the building as you can see in this video. The floors were held in place with light weight truss not steel beams. Check it out.

Big difference in all of the fires that you stated. None had external fuel nor a plane full of 20,000 gallons of fuel. The empire state plane had a mere fraction of the fuel and a much more beefy structure. The trade centers lost much of the fireproofing on the steel due to the explosion of the fuel. This weakened not melted)the steel and the weight of the upper floors cuased the buildings to collapse. The higher fire had less floors pressing down on it. The Philly fire nearly collapsed.

@stuffmohammed A fair amount of the fuel in the jets burned off on impact. That that did not found it's lowest point as it spread. Some may have made it to the outside walls but had a higher chance of being barricaded. It found a shaft somewhere in one of the towers. As this burning fuel cascaded down through the shaft (s) it melted wire insulation which would have resembled a rain of fire. @ the pooled up fuel at the bottom reached combustion conditions. Must have been loud explosions.

You clearly don't know anything about structural engineering and you don't seem to realise that the structural design of the twin towers was like nothing that came before. The towers that you listed rely on the core to hold the structure up whereas the twin tower relies entirely on the exterior wall. Any significant damage to said wall would result in a cascading failure to bring down the entire structure. All your evidence is arbitrary and has no relation to the twin towers or just speculation.
