scarab08, the Taliban is just a name. Every militant and drug lord uses the Taliban name because it strikes fear. The real Taliban ran off to Pakistan and haven't returned. Once the organization becomes a laughing stock, nobody would want to join them like nobody wants to join Al Qaeda in Iraq. All those frauds calling themselves the Taliban would give up the name and expose themselves to who they really are, just a bunch of local thugs and mentally ill/drug addicted foreigners.
