I think any racing game is fun. But if you seek fun and some bit of training. Try Battle Gear, specially the latest version. Countersteering is indeed required in drifting their cars. Enjoy anyways!
I played this game once. Counter Steer is basically absent from all the Initial D games. The arcade physics really only require you to turn the steering wheel quickly with minimal correction.
How do you out accelerate him from the start?

@Fahrenheit41 Well, it is natural to turn the steering wheel in the turn-right fashion while stepping on the accelerator to block the opponent.
