How does the neck of this guitar compare to that of an Ibanez wizard II and a modern fender strat? No stores near me stock this so I can't check for myself.
@Guppy915 i like that though. i have a honeyburst esp eclipse and i much prefer it over a gibson les paul. it has a thinner neck, better quality pickups (SD's), better tuning stability (locking tuners), is considerably more comfortable to hold/play, and a coil tap for more variety.
ESP's modern take on a vintage classic is awesome.
@aektzis91 I just wish they could make a wide profile version and put some pickups that AREN'T jb and 59... such an overused combination. To be quite honest there is much better out there. how bout some alnico 2 pups for a change esp
@Kingddd333 I was impressed that one of their viper models has p90s!! If i bought a phoenix thats what i would do, whack on some humbucker sized p90's or perhaps something more comparable to the traditional firebird pickups :)
@Guppy915 admittedly yes, however the ESP build quality and technology is far better than Gibson can hope for at the moment. Gibson lost their reputation when they started sending scratched $2000 les pauls out to European distributors and refused to refund them.
ESP are my favourite guitar manufacturer at the moment, followed closely by Fender.

ESP should put Ebony boards on the LTD EC 1000 as well.

@rekkapower They do. The EC-1000 in Silverburst, for instance, has an Ebony fingerboard. Not all of them have that though.

Can you compare this one to the eclipse ec-1000 in terms of playin and sound?
