Um its called the department of children AND FAMILIES not just department of children. That means anyone in the family is protected. I hate DCF and I too am a CT resident but to me this is a clear case of bullying husband preventing wife who wised up and left his ass from getting what rightfully belongs to her. Good for the wife for taking some action and getting her stuff back from this asshole!
She does not need a warrent to get her own property. More than likely, this there has been an incident of domestic violence and the state was concerned with the father's violent history and injuries that were caused to either his wife or children. It's easy to try to blame someone else for the violent actions that you have caused. Stop acting like the victim.

The police nor CPS had no court order to remove materials from your home, so without an order nor a warrant you had the civil right to shoot them for forced entry.

CPS / DCF - they are the most evil gang of thugs on the planet. Biggest child kidnapping ring in the world. Sue their ass off if you possibly can. Always carry a video camera. Document everything. HOMESCHOOL your children, even if you have to mortgage your life, as homeschooling (because it takes you out of the mandated reporters legal obligation to report SUSPICION of abuse, and in-house social workers (at school) could very well save your children's life.
