  • hey bro its Gungrave! New account :P just checking up on you.. you totally should re-do this and make another vid :D i can TRY to record my cover but I wont have a video, my webcam sux

  • I have trouble at 1:33 as well. Also been playing for a month or two.

  • i've had a lot of time after this video to practice, and i'm a lot better at this song now, including that part. just keep practicing and you'll get it too.

  • oh gotcha

if your gonna get a dostortion peddal, get a boss ds-1.. its what I use

how do u get ure videos on here? just a web cam and a mic?

  • no, i just have camcorder that i capture the footage from in windows movie maker.

  • and it kinda sounds like ure using distortion on the verses.. i cant tell, dont have a strat

  • Now I understand what you mean. the problem is that I don't have a distortion pedal or anything right now, so to control the distortion i have to manually turn it on on the amp. its pretty difficult to turn it on and off and stay in time and play everything at the same time. so instead i just left out the intro and used distortion on the verses. and now that im watching this again, this is pretty bad, lol.

  • the beggining of the song, play it with no distortion untill the one part, the play with it. only use it for the intro/chorus's/solo

  • is that not what i did?

  • no you let it play on the stereo.. i mean the VERY beggining

  • oh yea and another thing:

the pre-chorus, at the very end: you go: 1-1-1-1-11

the last 1, let it ring for about half a second, like in the song

  • hmm.. ive been self taught since January, so im still learning. Right now im working on the song, and the chorus chords, and a thing i noticed at the end of your solo:

on the D string, when you play 6-5--3, you dont let your 5 ring out, you go 6-53 pretty much.. sorry its hard for me to explain, but i hope my crappy advice helped ya out

    Subscribed :)

  • Thanks a lot. I've listened to the song a bit more and I think I get what your saying. I've worked on this song a lot more since then, so I think I might post a new one (with this change in the solo).

  • ok rad dude

im gonna dd ya on my new account

    xRockstarMentality

once i found out how.. ill get a few videos

  • its not andrew lmao

  • for a beginner, you're very good!

  • good job andrew!! its sam

  • nice

  • use them ears that god gave you to make songs... wif those chords you eventually master...

only other advice i can give you is...

    practice,

    Practice,

    Practice.

  • Go to a chord website.. and practice on a few chords at a time, Then gradually expand your chord bank... that advice enough?

Don't need a tutor to learn guitar.. i promise you...

  • Nice one there buddy. For 1 month... you're pretty F****** good i must say, Congrats... Good luck with your future musical career man, If that's what you desire upon.
