If I'm in London on foot, I dont have the right to cross the red lights. I do it anyway, like everyone there. Law is law, but you can infringe it. There is a grey area that is part of freedom. You can infringe law for practical reasons (red lights in London) or for ethical ones (I do believe I have a human right to get and share published materials).

If you don't agree with this, you should refrain from browsing illegal yt videos and also from visiting London :-)

Yeah, they own IP rights (which are only a temporary restriction to the public domain by the way) but we got the right to a public debate on music sharing. This is what democracy is for. It's true that the meme I reproduced was harshly written and not very constructive though.

Anyway, I don't care if people don't agree with me, because I'm sure of one thing: music sharing is a spontaneous process and you can't go against it. So everyone will have to learn to live with it...

Dear romanowski. Published work is public domain. If not de jure, at least de facto. That's the way it's meant to be and nothing can change that. This doesn't mean we don't have to pay for music though. But corporations should not close youtube accounts for posting music. As long as it's published, it becomes our music. I'm not an idiot, nor are those millions of people sharing music.

BTW, have you never enjoyed an unofficial youtube video ?

Therefore the corporations and artists have every right to choose how their work is distributed, and if they want to control their music by keeping it exclusive to their channel then they have that right. Just because something is online, doesn't mean its yours.

And yes I have enjoyed an unofficial video, but I don't whine if it's removed.
