  • I love to learn kung fu... thanks for sharing this video.

  • I LOVE Kung FU

  • Lets all thank Bodhidarma for this which introduced us for Shaoling Kungfu

  • @TheCharo777 hes from sothindia hes a master of kalaripayattu.......kalari is the mother of martial arts...

  • Where's part 2? Hu Zhengsheng Shifu looks like the business.

  • May Peace be upon you and family, muslim brother from london studying both northern and southern styles. just asking where is part 2?. all the best. my quote. Goe straight through the door and not around it.

  • I recommend this school.

  • I also had an opportunity to trained there. It's the only traditional Shaolin Kung Fu School in Deng Feng. The rest teaches contemporary style which is good but for show. Sanda is the form used for fighting introduced by Bruce Lee. It later became popular after Enter The Dragon.

  • Real shaolin fighting results in the opponent either being blinded, broken, or trapped or killed, the real masters of shaolin rarely ever fight or except challenges.because of humility and being a true martial artist. also I have train in shaolin only shortly. but watching real life fighters fight against each other, it quickly becomes a sanda fight and most forms goe flying out the window when they collide. Simplycity is the best martial arts goe straight through the door not around it

  • I go to USSD. We are the only martial arts dojo in the US allowed to teach real shaolin kung fu. Our Professor Mattera is a shaolin grandmaster. He might have even taught the guy in this film. GO USSD! LAS VEGAS #1

  • Do you know the name of that school? I cant recognize it

  • Has Hu decided to accept the role in the Kung Fu film?

  • did he appear in the latest National Geographic?

  • @jeffrey3301 yeah national geographic went to film at his school. do you have a link for the national geographic documentary?

  • @PathToShaolin Nah... the latest Nat Geo magazine had an article about Shaolin and he was mentioned

  • @jeffrey3301 I might have to get me the latest Nat Geo mag. I know they went to film at his school about 2 years ago. but i never got to see the documentary.

  • wong fei hung ?

  • Shaolin Kicks are hard, powerful kicks, i seen the way they kick.

  • It's a shame all this youthful exuberance and energy is wasted on becoming a tourist show attraction. If only this sort of national effort was spent on real Kung Fu and traditional Chinese arts.. but I guess that doesn't pay the bills... sigh

  • what is master hu zheng sheng's shaolin buddhist name?

  • gostaria de treina com eles

  • they are fighters. tho they are not ground fighters. they also study "sanda" chinese kickboxing.

  • @PathToShaolin so basically they use sanda ONLY to fight right? not other things else? thx

  • @MechPhantom they study traditional forms and the applications of those forms but the applications of the traditional forms are mainly tought to students with a higher understanding and more experiance because the applications are tought on a one to one basis because the moves can get complicated. At the same time they are also tought sanda with a flavour of shaolin kung fu mixed into it. The students have entered local and regional competitions in Henan province and done really well.

  • @PathToShaolin lol i dont really understand wat ur saying but thx haha. so wat ur trying to say is shaolin is more of a sport rite? correct me if im wrong,do u hv like any vid to show me wat ur trying to say? thx man

  • @PathToShaolin Do the shaolin monks guys kick fast or at an ok speed? thx coz i hv seen many of them not really punching and kicking fast

  • @MechPhantom They kick really fast and hard. Their punches are fast but not as powerfull as some one who studies boxing. But their kicks are really good.

  • @PathToShaolin Really lol? coz in part 2 or part 3 of this documentary, ihv seen almost all of the shaolin monks here kick and punching the punching bag not as fast, but yea can see its quite hard. So i dont think they kick really fast but hard yes,as what ur videos prove and hv shown. Thx bro for ur videos.

  • @PathToShaolin continued,in addition to that they dont punch very fast too,but same as their kicks, they punch hard, but never fast. If u want proof later i will show u.

  • @PathToShaolin continued. To cut short they USE SANDA to FIGHT right?

  • @MechPhantom wrong

  • @bidoa true very true they only use sanda , i ust went there 2mths ago , and yes the shifu says they learn 99% sanda tfor fighting. kinda true no wonder i can see they always use the sidekicks

  • @PathToShaolin but i hv to say their weapon speed and forms are fast, other than that, their punches and kick are not fast, but still good though

  • @PathToShaolin Hewy bro just asking, ALL shaolin mnoks use sanda to fight rigHT? sorry man i keep getting comfused

  • are these dancers or fighters?

There skill does not look any different than the skill of a gymnast.

I would like to see them in MMA competitions.

  • @gespilk mma is a short career sport...you only have a good 10 years to fight professionally before your body gets destroyed...kung fu is about healing the body as well as strengthening it... depending on if you study traditional or modern wushu will determine if you practice to fight or not...this being modern wushu is just for show.....

Pat berry in UFC is good example of Sanshou fighting

  • @gespilk your really missing the point arn't you

  • @TheEggroll4321

And what exactly is the point? All those people have 3 options in their lives - become entertainers (stuntmen, actors, fighters), military (or police), instructors for others.

Can you think of anything else that needs their skill of manhandling others?

MMA skills would be much more useful in the context of police work or even entertainment.

Would you agree that the point is how to make best possible living? Forget spiritual. When the belly is empty for a long time you die.

  • @gespilk All the facts together, The Shaolin Temple is a Buddhist temple that also happened to teach martial arts for self defense, for physical stamina and endurance, discipline, and Chen unlike many other temples.. Whether or not their martial arts was good or great is unimportant. The fact is they've survived many hardships regardless of the oppression they've been put through and continue to teach their ways to this day..

  • @gespilk They are neither.. They are philosophers, knowledge seekers, they are people who live their lives to the fullest while wishing the best for others.. They are human beings that seek to better themselves and others.. So what about MMA? Are they Dancers or Fighters? Oh.. Just fighters.. (If you take that away, they will have nothing.)

  • what is the punching form the monks are practicing called in 1:53

  • hehe, crouching tiger hidden dragon soundtrack

  • shooooosh! dont let youtube know :)

  • i abhor violence but shaolin monks fight to defend. their philosophy is gr8

  • sorry part 2 will be some time before i get it on youtube. i dropped my hard drive with all my videos on it. but as soon as i get the videos off of it i will post them.

  • whats with the depressing music its not very nice lol

  • amazing! 5 stars. i really want to go and train here now. way cool.

  • I studied at his school in Songshan. He teaches true traditional Shaolin, the wushu and San Da students study separate curriculums. Most schools teach a wushu influenced version of Shaolin, but he doesn't. Everyone at his school was so friendly and helpful, I had a great time. I recommend it and would go back.

  • very nice please upload the rest!

  • 5 stars, brilliant video. cant wait for part 2. keep them coming!!!
