It is a very nice little machine. The only part that looks a bit clunky is the microswitch. It does need to be a snap action switch to make and break cleanly but it would be nice if it looked as finely machined as the rest of it.
You could add a fly ball mechanism to reduce the duty cycle of the electromagnet to make it hold a constant speed.
