@roofy2k When flying VFR it is not ATC's responsibility to provide you with traffic separation or advisories. It is the Pilot in Command's responsibility to look for and avoid other aircraft.
@PaintballRules18 i'm used to socal and dont have much time, they wouldn't let anything near gliders, jumpers, etc... the story is so distrubing i was looking for blame i guess i didn't really think about where they were, tow pilots and gliders should at least have a PCAS for passenger flights
No mention of the Tow pilot a good friend of mines brother... As a fellow pilot this is the reason we teach to keep your eyes outside the aircraft and to keep the radios on CTAF, Cirrus was at fault.

Those are some very lucky people, and a very skilled pilot. Sounds like the Cirrus pilot was at fault.
