thanks =) took me about 2 months (from about 62 - 99). I did play alot back then though, I'll have to admit. To fund it I used most of the money I got from obtaining 99 woodcutting (I cut willows which are nearly worthless but I got a bit from the bird nests along the way). And also crafted ammies of fury from achieving 99 crafting. Then I bought bars in small amounts at a time as I had to sell my bolts to buy more. It took awhile but I achieved it finally =D

I'm not exactly sure how much it'll currently cost. The prices of the bars and bolts have changed greatly since the day when I smithed them, so I'd estimate maybe between 50M - 100M. That's just a rough estimate though, I'd have to check the current prices of the materials for a closer estimate.

hey im going for 99 smithing, if i did addy arrowheads at the blast furnace until 88 smithing and then addy platebodies for the rest, how long do u think it would take (with sc tools ofc)

probably not too long after 88, as addy platebodies are very fast smithing exp, I believe they are the fastest possible smithing exp in the game using SC hammers. If you have all of your SC hammers needed banked, then I'd say from 88 to 99 it shouldn't take more than 20-25 hours or so. That's just an estimate however.

About 2 months give or take a week or so. It started out quite easy but got quite challenging as the bolts that I smithed grew hard to sell, and was quite frustrating. It shouldn't be nearly as bad nowadays with the Grand Exchange though.

I actually didn't loose any money because at the time I started smithing crossbows had just had a power-up so everyone wanted bolts and the bolts actually sold for more than the bars, so even buying my own bars I didn't loose any money.
