I remember when I was a kid in the 70s. ERHS was more like a trade and vocational school, where the boys would learn the industrial arts in sight of the factories where they would then grind their lives away. The girls generally majored in home making and/or cosmotology under the watchful eyes of matronly Italian women who worked as hall monitors and guidance counselors.
