Have wheelie in 1st with out the clutch for about a second .But my m8 power wheelie in 3rd about 50mph . Have done this but my bike will not lift up ! So thinking of using the clutch this summer ! So you flick the clutch and give a LITTLE revs ?? Yea !!
It's all about not being scared you gotta get up there pretty good for a good balance point..And im shure he is somewere around the 6 or 7000 then clutch up to about 8 and slip it!!
Not using the back brake is the worse thing you can do..There or some how to wheelie videos that are a lot better for people learning..Once you hit the sweet spot you will never put the front wheel down lol..Good luck
Oh Ted, how far you have come with your green ZX-10 now! we gotta hit Skyview again! PS we have to get together and make some of these videos (and you guide me in the art of having the front lifted, lol. Slowly getting better tho, will be getting my new Sportec M3 on the back soon
Yo i have the same bike. The 636 is a beast, they should have kept making it. Give me the rundown on how to do clutch wheelies. I am getting pretty good at power wheelies already. By the way NICE Video
i have a Derbi Senda 125 4 stroke (check my channel to see bike) i cant wheelie it, when i drop the clutch and give it revs it just goes foreword violently and i'm sitting back near the back wheelie !!! ???? i need help badly thanks all NICE VID !
clutch up in second is easier as you have a better spread of power, also cover the rear brake and once you can do second gear wheelies quick shift in to 3rd and you got even better power delivery to play with...keep practising.....good luck
Good vid and appreciate saving the wheelies for when the road is empty. Loads of proper bikers and plenty of bullshitters posting here. The best bikers show it when the road and conditions are right, they tend to live longer than the ones who show off anytime and anyplace!
Try 2nd at the same speed, had a '04 GSXR600 that could come up at 35 MPH. Keep workin N you'll get it. Next will be balance point! Have fun and check out my vids. Stay safe!
I just put a down payment on the same bike today in the same color, lol. What do you think of the bike? I owned a 2000 GSXR 750 and don't wanna be disapointed by the smaller displacment.
@Brudacille I loved it. I have a zx10r and I miss it. It handles very well and you will not be disappointed. That 636 is an amazing machine. With a few mods, you will make current 750 nervous.
@Brudacille the newer 600's will have more power than your 2000 GSXR 750. I have had my 2008 GSXR 600 for a summer now and love it! Clutch ups in 1st and 2nd gear are nothing to it. You won't be disappointed! plus the fuel injection makes a huge difference in throttle response. Hope this helps
Sweet, but that fence on the side of the road is like a cheese cutter. If you it that your in a little trouble. They just put that up along alot of the highways in the part where I live here in Missouri
ahh i want to learn wheelies to on my motobike .. but i dont wanna destroy my bike xD ... with my mountainbike i can wheelies for kilometers... one hand or what the fuck else but i never did it on a motobike ... whats better to start with... in the first or second gear?
yes you have alot to learn like getting the bike up while the rs are under 6,000 and double clutching and 3rd gear wheelies trust me you will go down once before your a master
I read all of these comments. I have a 01 cbr 929rr
I taught myself to do power up wheelies in first, and I've pretty much stuck to that. I guess I learned the hard way at first. Still, im pretty nervous that im just going to use too much power and flip right over.
I figure i'll do about 30 mph in 2nd, pull in the clutch, give it a little bit of power, and release the clutch?
Also, are you in the upright position when you do these?
1st gear wheelies is a no no unless your goin really slow. if not go 2nd dude the gear will last longer and its easier to balance. i started doing the same thing then figured out oh ya 2nd comes up too lol
Stunters also have 60 tooth rear sprockets, which you don't. That is irrelevant. He has a point. Try it in second. it's easier to balance with more speed.
I know all of you guys seem to swear by clutch ups, but I power up in first with my 07 10R. That's how I learned and am more comfortable with that, clutch ups for me are much more violent and unpredictable, which is the opposite of what most of you say. I guess its how you learned. Still would like to master the balance point, I can only ride out first gear right now, but I mean shit, that's 1 hundo. Any balance point tips out there for those that do it on liter bikes?
yeah .... DONT BALANCE POINT ANY BIKE IN FIRST!!! and you have a 10R you could power up second up with no problem... but with a 600 bike its easier and safer (on mechanical parts) to clutch it up in second ( which is what gear this guy is in) thats why we swear by clutch up's, it takes talent and skill, and you can go slower before you hit the ba;lance point... i can clutch it up and balance point my bike at 40mph... you'll never do that with a power wheelie
I've never really clutched it up, but i have a '05 zx6r and that comes up nicely in 1st off the power. I crack it back at about 8 1/2-9000 rpm and take it to the end of the gear and it comes down nicely. Don't you find clutching pulls it up really hard?
dude why u use the clutch on first gear i got a f4i sport and im doing whelie in first gear only on throtle but is no fun im use clutch to do long secong gear wheelie greating from poland
I have a zx10r with plenty of power and I still use the clutch to wheelie. Has nothing to do with that. Clutch makes it more controllable and predictable and consistent.
dude seriously you can ride a wheelie, you made that so clear by doing it for 3 min strait. This video should have lasted for 14 seconds, thats all it was worth. NONETHELESS nice wheelie
Dude, you have no worries about getting to that balance point! That's a good thing. Get a second gear clutch up like that and you will get some serious distance.
were you able to do 2nd gear clutch ups? what's the trick or timing? can you do it with stock sprockets on a 600? i have no prob with 1st gear clutch ups but i can't do it on 2nd.
yeah whatever. its because of judgmental assholes like you that motorcycles are looked at like the most dangerous thing in the world. Don't tell me what i should and shouldn't do.

at 2:19 I thought for sure you bit it, nice save, I only poer first gear to much torque for me, 2nd gear on I clutch, just lifts way to damn fast in first for my likings.
good job man, that last one kinda scared me though i thought u were going down.. good rear brake control, a lot of people would have panicked and fell
Really nice vid man.. I have the exact same bike that I just bought back in November, its one hell of a machine. That color is something else too, huh?
Iv read how-to's everywhere but they dont do a good enough discription.
I guess you accelerate, and once it gets to 4k you pull in the clutch and then when it gets to 5k you release the clutch....that what Im getting from it...
Is it clutch in , bittt of gass and pop the clutch?

Yeah, take it slow. It took me 2 seasons to get where I am in the video. Doing too much too soon will get you in trouble. Good luck.

im can only do power wheelies on my 600.
I could never find out how to clutch it up
Iv read how-to's everywhere but they dont do a good enough discription.
I guess you accelerate, and once it gets to 4k you pull in the clutch and then when it gets to 5k you release the clutch....that what Im getting from it...
