No doubt about it, iPhone has got them all making touch screen phones of similar ilk. Apple weren't the first by a mile, they just did it better than anyone. Great UI but the phone itself still lacks features we come to take for granted. Features found in 75% of handsets. Namely, sharing files via bluetooth, no text forwarding, poor camera (no flash, auto focus video) no mms, no "to do" notes.
Though I am lead to believe that some of these can be fixed in 3rd party apps for firmware updates.
I have a iTouch cuz i didnt really want an iPhone (too expensive and not really worth it right now...needs better hardware and software). I might just get this one instead but then again the new iPhones are coming out soon so i will hold off till the reviews come in. Have fun fighting people =)
Personally I think mobile devices such as phones should remain mainly consumable devices. I don't want to record or edit videos on my phone. Phones have also got a long way to come to catch up with standalone cameras. Sure the iPhone only has a 2MP camera with no zoom. How many people actually do take many photos and then use them somewhere else. Even the 5MP cameras are pretty useless.

If you say building a computer costs more you must be crazy. I built my for $300 and it was almost state of the art and still holds up. The most expensive thing was a LCD 19" monitor which I didnt' really need.. but cost me $400 on Black Friday (thanksgiving sale).

Personally I think mobile devices such as phones should remain mainly consumable devices. I don't want to record or edit videos on my phone. Phones have also got a long way to come to catch up with standalone cameras. Sure the iPhone only has a 2MP camera with no zoom. How many people actually do take many photos and then use them somewhere else. Even the 5MP cameras are pretty useless.

by the way, Nokia S60 is way too long and thick, has non of the iPhone elegance. Try check Meizu M8, pretty close to iPhone with window CE6. Soon more Chinese phone makers will follow suit and drive down the price to less than half of the iPhone cost.

Who said 3D animated movies are made in Apple?. Animated movies are done using Maya (Alias WaveFront) software. Its independent of Platform, can be found in Windows/Unix/MacOSX. So, its upto the individual to choose which platform they work on. Btw, Disney uses their own customized Unix, they dont rely on Apple or Mac.

Mac Users - 10-12% (some sources say 8-9%)
Unix/Linux users - 2-3%.
I am not a fan of Windows, I rely mostly on Unix, on occasion I use Windows becos' of software restrictions. But, of the 3 OS I would rate OSX as the lowest.

If you say building a computer costs more you must be crazy. I built my for $300 and it was almost state of the art and still holds up. The most expensive thing was a LCD 19" monitor which I didnt' really need.. but cost me $400 on Black Friday (thanksgiving sale).

I use public wifi on my iphone all the time.
My complaint with the iPhone is that it is incomplete. There are many key applications that are not available yet. Hopefully we'll see some with software updates {voice record,msms,video record,gps-googleMap,cut-paste}
