  • Nice facade, but unfortunately there is nothing in this video about discrimination against Poles in Lithuania country. To get a real idea about what's going on in the country watch this short documentary youtube DOT com /watch?v=2RyX5vX9Qfs

  • If you mean by attack, not using foreign alphabets in official Lithuania documents and signage, then that applies to almost every other nationality on the planet whose system of writing is unlike the one used in Lithuanian, not just Poles, but Greeks, English or Chinese. It is the same in all the countries mostly.

If you mean slander and stuff like that, then SOME Lithuanians do so, but really they attack anyone, even other Lithuanians too. Idiots and bigots are found in every country.

  • @GladkyAndrey Do you know, that A Smetona, not only attacked Belorusians, but also other Lithuanians like Basanavicius and his followers who opposed Smetona's German supported propaganda with invention of Balts and with his ultra-nationalistic policies of the government back then. True Lithuanian patriots had to escape to Vilnius for protection under Poles from our stupid president Smetona. Those were sad times and sadly Smetona's lies and propaganda is still strong now in Lithuania

  • @GladkyAndrey

Exacly. Now try to tell this to these Nazi-Samogitians, who look at themselves as only ancestors of GDL.

  • @khulik mate just before you diss Samogitians, remember that the ruler of Poland was, as you say, a Nazi-Samogitian, called Piłsudski.

  • @Qongrat

This "Samogitian" somehow had lithuania in ass.

  • @khulik Deny it all you want but the whole Piłsudsk clan is from the Samogitian village of Pilsūdai, in Tauragė district, Jozef’s daddy bought a little estate in Zalavas and that is the only reason why Jozef wasn’t born in Żmudź, but he was a true żmudź, and as Lithuanians say: once a żmudź always a żmudź. Deal with it mate.

  • @Qongrat

I don't have to. Piłsudski served Poland and somehow for Lithuanians cannot understand this.

  • @khulik Pilsudski was a great man, and sadly a larger part of Lithuanians are still brainwashed with the same German propaganda that in 1918 A. Smetona used. A. Smetona's ideas and his selfish ultra-nationalist sadly still live on, not all Lithuanians are like them but Poles only hear about those idiots and then you think that all Lithuanians are retarded, and that is exactly what Moscow wants, Poland and Lithuania to fight each other. Could Poles be less absolutist in their judgements?

  • @Qongrat Zinai kur gali savo Pilsucki susikisti sau i subine.

  • @Qongrat 1) Tu greiciausiai esi skaites knyga arba istrauka is tos knygos kuria parases zmogus buvo sodriai prafinansuotas lenkiskuju strukturu ,kurio paistalais siektiek daugiau zinanciam zmogui Lietuvos to meto istorija darosi koktuja skaityti,:angliškai parašyta T.Balkelio knyga( griauna istorijos mitus).Atgimstant Lietuvai ir prasidejus atgimimo bangai issivaduojant is ilgalaikes polonizacijos gniauztu, jau tuo metu jaunoji Lietuva.

  • @Qongrat Do you know, that you are retarded ?Smetona nationalist? You just confirmed that psheks like you know nothing about patriotism.Well if the first thing that came to mind when you tought about Smetona is Fascist you do need some psychic help sir.You can shove that Pilsūka to your own ass.Oh and did you forget what already happened in the last month ? huh? or did you "forget" ? Oh and Smetona attacked Belarussians ?

  • @DelTevynes Yes, sure mate, whatever tickles your testicles. You have a nice day now. Oh, just one final thought, perhaps anger management classes woud help you. Enjoy.

  • @GladkyAndrey Just for your knowledge, Zemaitijan language is more similar to Belorusian, than the Lithuanian language that Lithuanians speak in Vilnius region. Lithuanians even find it hard to understand Zemaitijans without translation. One more thing, Zemaitijans don't even consider themselves to be Lithuanian as they see themsleves as a seperate ethnic group and culture in the most western part of Lithuania and their region doesn't even reach Kaunas, let alone Vilnius.

  • Mickiewicz write only in Polish language.

  • @IQ145 Not true. Do some more research and you will find that he's written a lot of poems in Lithuanian.

  • @WarIsNeverPretty Give an example...

  • Comment removed

  • @WarIsNeverPretty

....while he even didn't spoke Lithuanian?

  • @khulik How do you know if he spoke Lithuanian or not? Have you spoken to him in person? You see, history is such complicated thing that there actually is no single truth that all the historians with agree to. There are many versions of history. Some claim that he actually did speak Lithuanian because back then some have seen him speak to Lithuanian farmers in Lithuanian, but yet it's just another version and nothing more. Conclusion: Plausible.

  • @WarIsNeverPretty

Nationalists can make many stories. I heard, that Mickiewicz used even word "Samogitians" when he spoke about Balitc Lithuanians.

  • @khulik And here you go again with the nationalist thing...

How come you just just don't get bored with it? Nationalist here, nationalist there... it's like nationalists everywhere considering what you type in the comments. Get over it, dude! It's not 1939, it's 2011 now.

  • @WarIsNeverPretty

Great! Now tell this to Lithuanian teachers, who named some days ago polish children "Hitlerjugend"... and a few days later in Wilno (Vilnus) and Kowno (Kaunas) somebody hanged Nazi flags with descriptions "Hitler was right" in Lithuanian.

It's not Poland who behave today like country from 20' of XX century.

  • @khulik WOW! You're more of an asshole than I actually thought. You're obviously no lawyer and you definitely do not know that in every democratic state it's constitution establishes a right to form a subjective-personal opinion. That was simply a school principal's opinion, which cannot form any legal consequences for that matter and hanging those nazi flags was nothing more, but a disturbance of a public peace commited by a group of immature teenagers. You're like a woman selling good at a....

  • @WarIsNeverPretty

And you are like stealing policeman.

"she's always right and her opinion is more just than anyone else's."-I can say the same about you.

"Why don't you use all that energy taking care of your own country and nation and stop throwing dirt at others."-I am acually taking care of my nation (part of my nation living abroad). I will throw dirt on Lithuania as long as your country will repress polish minorty and insult Poland and Poles.

  • @khulik Well, then you leave me with no choice but to throw all that dirt back at you for all the slander, lies and false info broadcasted by polish media. Have a closer look at what's going on in your country. You ex prime minister Kaczynski denied that germans living in Silecia are truly germans and he also claimed that they're not even a minority! How nationalistic is that?

  • @WarIsNeverPretty

Lies, because mr. Songaiła and his anti-polish nazi band says something diffrent than polish media.

I have in ass polish media, I am taking infos from Poles living in Lithuania.

"How nationalistic is that?"-Kaczyński is idiot and 80% Poles knew this. After Smoleńsk crash, he should go to mental hospital. In Poland he is almost ended. In Lithuania hipocritical nationalists have better and better.

  • @khulik ...selling good a marketplace and thinks that she's always right and her opinion is more just than anyone else's. Why don't you use all that energy taking care of your own country and nation and stop throwing dirt at others.

  • @khulik goods*

  • @khulik I'm agree with you, but Adam Mickievicz it's belarusian writer))

  • @GladkyAndrey

Yeah, and Mikołaj Kopernik was a woman?

  • @WarIsNeverPretty have a look here w w w . antologija.lt/texts/11/main.html, he did not only speak Lithuanian, he also wrote in Lithuanian, unlike you, he loved all the nations of GDL and Poland, you should learn from him.

  • @khulik but he could write in Lithuanian, that is crazy man, how could he write in Lithuanian if he didn't speak it?

  • @Qongrat We got our ethnic lands and even some were taken like Lida,Gardinas and such but Belarus got that territory as a gift.Belarus is a nation which only started to exist in 19 c. Also we may call our ethnicity Balts now but we called ourselves Aiščiai.About Vilnius.Vilnius was always full of Lithuanian even if it was polonized Polish people in Vilnius were polonized so they are basically Lithuanians in denial and you sir are a moron and a pshek.

  • @DelTevynes

"but Belarus got that territory as a gift.Belarus is a nation which only started to exist in 19 c"-same as your nation.

"Vilnius was always full of Lithuanian even if it was polonized"-before 1918 there were no such place like "Vilnius". There was "Wilna", "Wilno", "Vilnaus", never "Vilnius".

"pshek"-the fact, that you call him a "pshek" (Pole), makes him much worth than you are, you shituanian scum.

  • @khulik same as your nation.--So then I guess GDL never existed in your perspective...

before 1918 there were no such place like "Vilnius". There was "Wilna", "Wilno", "Vilnaus", never "Vilnius".----I wonder how Gediminas called it when he built it then...He was Lithuanian and he was the one who built Vilnius.

shituanian---It is good to know that when the Baltic nation of Sarmatia existed Poland was created by us to defend against Germans...Poland was always in history a thief and a aferist.

  • @DelTevynes

shituanians.. give a proof of a sarmation nation in the baltic area :D hahaha.. Poland was created by zmudz people... that ones that pissed on wooden blocks and had no language ?? nice try... LOOL

  • @PolskiHetman Lithuania's language is much older than your mongol bable...Go to google and write in Delfi Atpildas and look at Sarmatian maps you retard...Every where you will see that Sarmatia is in GDL lands or in Lithuania.

  • @DelTevynes

you know shit... go and read about sarmatism...sarmats were iranien/turkic tribes... also some of the polish szlachta called themselves as descendants of sarmats... but sarmatia has nothing to do with lithuania... i am really sorry for you... the culture in lithuania was created by polish and belorussians nobles... just accept that zmuds alwasy were and will be pawns... okay ?

  • @PolskiHetman You just turned down what we believe and you just started babeling something about others making our culture and you are supposing I should accept the lies they tell you and the propaganda that you believe?

"the culture in lithuania was created by polish and belorussians nobles" wow...Polish nobles must be very old considering they probably existed in 10 c BC huh ? are you that retarded? Can't you just accept that you live in a country of lies and malipulation of people?

  • @DelTevynes

the one who is lying is you.. you have no answer. the idea of sarmatism was born in medieval times but there is no proof that sarmats really lived in the baltic area..bullshit

  • @PolskiHetman Well Sarmatia was a real nation, many countries accepted it.King Arthur was from a Sarmatian tribe and rode to battle with Alans.Sarmatia was matriarchal which was ruled by women because they knew that women are the birth givers.Sarmatia was a real nation.Let's stop cursing now and talk about Sarmatia like civilized people.

  • @DelTevynes

LOL You're believing in American films?

King Arthur could be lengendar king of England (same as Piast in Poland), Scotland. His legendar castle was named Avalon. Very baltic name isn't it? Avalonas. XD

The number of legends about Arthur is bigger than number of European states.

"Sarmatia was a real nation."-I repeat: nations were born during Englightment, in XVIII century. Earlier were tribes, and multi-ethnic kingdoms and dutches.

  • @DelTevynes

Yes, GDL existed. By Lithuanian nation not. It was tribe. Nations in nowadays meaning started creationing in XVIII century, Your nation started in 2nd half of XIX century, while polish nation was known in 1st half of XVIII century

"as created by us to defend against Germans"-who's your dealer?

  • @khulik Lithuanian was already a nation when Mindaugas was crowned. The Polish nation was created by Sarmatia (Balts) to protect against Germans thats why you have a white eagle for a flag.

  • @DelTevynes

Yep, then polish nation have more than 1000 years.

Do you know, what "nation" means?

"Sarmatia (Balts)"-LOL Sarmatians weren't Balts. They were living on territory from which came Slavs...

I don't tell, that they WERE Slavs, but for sure they weren't Balts.

"against Germans thats why you have a white eagle for a flag."-and what have white eagle to this? America, Russia and Mexico have eagels too, without talking about Serbia (defending Balts from Poles and Russians?).

  • @DelTevynes

Don't you understand ONE SIMPLE WORD? Is definition of "nation" so hard for you?

In X century in the Central and Eastern Europe were only tribes. Nations in nowadays meanings started creatioing themselves in XVIII century.

  • @khulik I am using the word nation to mean anything but a disorderly group of people.I am sorry for using it the wrong way.I could of meant kingdom or anything else, but considering Sarmatia was matriarchal it could have been Baltic and Slavic nations united.

  • @DelTevynes Tribes * not nations... I misspelled again.

  • Comment removed

  • @Qongrat

Show me ONE thing writtten by him in your language.

  • @IQ145 NO. Adam Mickiewicz it's belarusian writer)) He wrote poems on belarusian (60-70%) and polish)

  • @GladkyAndrey

And what did he wrote in Belarussian?

  • @GladkyAndrey for example ?

  • @IQ145 I'm was mistake! He wrote on "polish"! Why?! Because in books by Adam have belarusian emphasis! even your Polish scientists have proved it! His daughter said: "Do not just listen to us, he sighed that we have a colorless, chuzhazemski accent, he would like to hear from our lips the language of song, Litvinskaya (belarusian), which was dearer to him all!" This author and belarusian, and polish, but he very like his motherland and belarusian language!

  • @GladkyAndrey Mickiewicz wrote in Belarusian, or not ? This is a simple question... what complications ?

  • @IQ145 i'm answered on your question! he wrote on polish with belarusian emphasis! but Mickiewicz very like belarusian land and language!

  • @GladkyAndrey Mickiewicz wrote only in Polish language. Poles like Belarus, have a fondness for her...

  • @IQ145 He litvin! Hе don't polish!

  • @GladkyAndrey you know the names of the grandparents, the family (mom, dad) Mickiewicz ? You can show the works written in Lithuanian, Belarusian? You have that evidence wrote in a language other Than Polish? you know the history of his country?

  • @IQ145 "Son of an impoverished nobleman Mikołaj Mickiewicz (1765-1812), a lawyer in Novogrudok (modern Belarus); name Miscavige, like several other names of Polish gentry - belarusian descent, on behalf of Zmіtser (Dmitry)"

    Wilipedia

  • @GladkyAndrey Mother: Barbara Majewska, Polish Legion creator etcetera, etcetera... And where it says that he wrote in Lithuanian or Belarusian ?

  • @IQ145 He wrote on polish with belarusian language elements! And he very like Belarus and belarusian language and towns (Navahrudak, Vilna, Mensk)

  • @GladkyAndrey Repeat ... Give examples ...

  • @IQ145 be-x-old(DOT)wikipedia(DOT)org/wiki/%D0%90%D0%B4%D0%B0%D0%BC_%D0%9C%D1%96%D1%86%D0%BA%D0%B5%D0%B2%D1%96%D1%87

  • @GladkyAndrey - what is it ?

  • @GladkyAndrey

Yep, but there's problem. Most ppl in that times looked at Nowogródek and Wilno like on typical polish cities.

  • @IQ145 Wrong, do some research, there are handwritten notes of Mickiewicz in Lithuanian language, do some research. His published works are, though, only in Polish that is true.

  • @Qongrat He also wrote in French:) something to prove?

  • Kas ta Lietuva ? ..... Daznas uzsinieciu klausimas....

  • VISI LIETUVIAI JUNGIAMES I 1 KUMSTI ;))))!!!

Jus turbut jeigu esate depresijoje pastoviai ar siaip negaluojate tai nesuvokiate, bet jeigu klipe bus rodoma ir neigiama informacija, tai koks tada tikslas is vis gyventi? Parodykim to nemokam, to nemokam, tai kam tada is vis kazka keisti? Tegu buna senos gatves, senos duobes ir nieko nekeiskim, arba daug graziu ideju sugalvot ir megint igyvendint. Cia yra vizija kaip reklama TV

  • ......The city was first mentioned in written sources in 1323 as the capital city of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the letters of Gediminas. Gediminas built his wooden castle on a hill in the city. The city became more widely known after he wrote a circular letter of invitation to Germans and Jews to the principal Hansa towns in 1325, offering free access into his domains to men of every order and profession. .....

yes i speak lithuanian, why? maybe you want to say that you (lithuanian) will make it all?

    don't be ridicolous :-D

  • this clip explains how in Vilnius everything they plan to do they are going to do. I have been to Lithuania countless times and this video is true i have seen most of the building that you saw, being constructed and completed. There is a water park in Vilnius and i would say it is probably the best in Europe, it is called vinchy water park . you should really try and visit the country.

  • most of the things that you say are completed were completed even before the video was made, the rest of the things are just dreams that lithuanians will never be able to realize without foreign help. That i hope they will never receive as they are corrupted and are stealing a lot of the european's money they are receiving. I live here, i don't travel here from time to time and i know how the things goes. so don't talk about things you don't know.

  • the politicians steals, not ordinary people.

  • Also what I meant to say was that yes not all the stuff they say will happen. And I know about the govermant until the old generation die off there will always be a corrupt govermant in lietuva. Oh and don't freat cause if you are young enough then you might see the end off this crap,so calm you'r self down. I am from britain and the members of the parliment were stealing the tax payers money. And no one new until reacently.

  • If Vilnius is poland what about Stettin? Breslau and all other lands Poland occupied after World war 2?

  • We don't occupy any land. But you are right: Stettin, Danzig, Breslau - they are all German cities. As much as Lwów, Grodno and Wilno are Polish.

Stalin changed our borders. Have you ever hard of Yalta Treaty?

  • Have you ever heard that its not Wilno and its not polish?

  • @OR3NG

It's Wilno in polish, Vilnus in Lithuanian. And if you say, that IT WAS ALWAYS Lithuanian city, you are telling shit. I don't want Wilno back to Poland, but it mades me angry Lithuanian and Ukrainian propaganda, that Vilnus was always Lithuanian (it was multicultural) as well as Lwów Ukrainian. As I said I don't want Vilnus back, but Lwów yes. With what Ukrainians deserved on this polish city?

  • @khulikSee you try to hide behind word multi cultural to make it seem like it is part polish. It was founded by Lithuanians and it was always part of Lithuania until 1795. Before WW1 people in Lithuania didnt give a shit about language they spoke, as language wasnt used as a way of identifying nationality of a person Therefore they spoke polish and russian aswell. Good example of this is Adam Mickiewic , he wrote about lithuania "Litwo! Ojczyzno moja! ty jestes jak zdrowie”

  • @OR3NG

Multi-cultural? Ok, if this words doesn't match you to situation, I'l name them. XIV-XVII centuries-city mainly Ruthenian. XVII-XX cenury (shortly after II WW)-city with polish culture, mixed with Jewish. After Ponary massacre and sending Poles to new Pomeranian Voivodship, city partly Lithuanian, but still there are a lot of Poles there.

Ruthenians and Lithuanians? Lithuanians yes, build borders and cities, but they conquered huge nation, which was majorty. All were called Lithuanians.

  • @OR3NG

Do you know what he thought, saying "Lithuania, my homeland"? No. Because no one can know it, Mickiewicz took it to his grave.

Lithuanians says, that he thought about Lithuania as a seperate country, Poles says, that he wrote about Lithuania as a part of Rzeczpospolita.

  • @OR3NG Yes, Wilno was founded by Lithuanians but later it got totally polonised. There were no Lithuanians in Wilno before WW2
