Dammnit people. Drenched in Blood is a good song. This is a good song. Yes, the chorus is almost the same. Big deal. Now get over it and move on in your lives.
If Turbonegro decided to tribute The Wildhearts in D.I.B. it's only because they consider The Wildhearts a GREAT band. The same way as many mainstream musicians do...

Youre not wrong! In a perfect world, or even a slightly fair one, all of their early singles would have been number one. Christ, anything of those albums, or their more recent albums is good enough to be number one. They piss on other bands from a very great height!
they showed it on the chart show didn't they? not one of my faves im afraid, but then again (just being honest) i didn't like most of PHUQ. Didn't kick my arse like the other albums did!

I love the Wildhearts. If ever im in a crap mood i put Earth V The Wildhearts on (or any other album for that matter) never ever fails to lift me into a good mood. Ginger you are an absolute legend, best and most underated songwriter around.
the is actually a boy....i think...Mark Keds, from a band called senselss things, he joined then didnt turn up for a tour pr something. dickhead basically
Mark Keds is actually the 2nd guitar player (while CJ had a break for whatever reason) and the bassist is the original chap called Danny. Erm judging by what happened one night in Dudley i suspect it was decided that their interests were going in different directions.
@thebigot1690 me too i was 17 when i heard phuq - still one of my fave albums of all time. and 1690!? u must be from the big NI, saw em in spring and airbrake - living legends
should have been the biggest punk band in the world!!
god bless the wildhearts!!!

Why were they not the biggest thing of the 90s? And why aren't they still today? :P I don't understand it.

Whether or not Turbonegro stole the vocal melody in the chorus for 'Dreched in Blood', there's no doubt they did it better.

I never much liked the song but bloody hell is the introduction fan-bloody-tastic...
eddieskyclad 3 years ago
I'm *Exactly* the same. When I first heard it, it was actually one of my faves.. Now it's not as awesome, but that intro stands as one of my faves..
'Nothing Ever Changes...' intro still remains my personal favourite ever though :D
