  • I use it on old locos where the traction tyres have perished - just build up the layers when the previous one dries. Particularly useful for long obsolete models where there's no chance of finding replacement tyres. It's an easy job and an essential weapon in my tool box.

    UK OO gauge.

  • Is that a brass or the Athearn USRA 2-8-2? With my Athearn 2-8-2 I just added weight over the drivers and that helped a bunch, since the loco is rear heavy. It now can pull about 20 cars.

  • @gbwdude

Yeah adding wieght will to an engine will always help it pull more, we like this solution as it saves us the time of opening up a steam engine and figuring where to cram weights in

  • @ilchyhammer

no splatter at all, it cures pretty fast and becomes a solid, but for it to fully cure they bottle says 24hrs

  • Interesting! VERY Interesting. :-)

  • @Modeltrainguy Thanks try it out its great for steam engines!

  • @CMRSclub Thanks. I will give it a try when I get the chance. :-)

  • Water mixed in?

  • @xxxIronHeadxxx

Yess we did mix in water as we though that the solution was just a bit too thick for us

  • I have this and it really helps because I have a steep ramp to my second level

  • @things343

Yeah this stuff works miracles for the smaller underpowered engines!
