I listen to all kinds of music from Superjoint Ritual to Coldplay to Christian metal. The only "label" this song deserves is a perfect gem! One of a kind originality music.

I'm all for Christian rock and rockbands if their hearts and minds are in it for the Living Lord. But i think they have to put more thought and effort to production. for instance i can say "Jesus Loves you. " in all sincerity with a small soft voice, but perception changes when you Scream at the top of your Lungs "JESUS LOVES YOU !!!" with an angry screeching tone. I'm a Christian, but i listen to- Some songs- by Pink Floyd, Def Leppard, Kansas, Fleetwood Mac, and others.
Its not the music thats Christian, its the lyrics the musicians write that glorify God that make a band Christian(theres no such thing as a "Christian Em chord" or a "Devils Note").
Music is universal and is meant to show expression, not to take sides on which religion is right, that once again is lyrics.
While I agree on most of what you said, I'd go further to say that there is no such thing at all as "Christian music." Music doesn't have an eternal soul that gets saved, people do.
Now, that doesn't mean that all music created by Christians is wholesome, or even good for the listener. A good definition of "Christian Music" is: music made by Christians for the glorification of God, and/or edification of believers, and/or to reach the unsaved.
Good point, Christians can make music for the glorification of God by giving him the credit, my point with one statement was to say if youre going to verbally glorify God, then you need the lyrics to match that. After all Jon Sebastian Bach(famous composer of music :classical)even initialed ITNOG(In the Name of God)after every song he composed to give God glory.

The type of music has nothing to do with their beliefs. They are a Christian band and this is how they reached the audience that digs their style of music. I'm 51 and these guys rock. So grab a burger and soda and sit and listen to the words.

This is not telling people what they want to hear; its message is one that revolves around God. Also, this is not Christians conforming to to secular music, it is Christians using a "secular style" of music to give glory to God. Essentially, we've taken something from Satan and turned it into something we can use to praise God with.

That being said you're also forgetting that Christ commanded love and grace upon all. Remember that He died for all sin, especially that of the believers. Maybe you don't look at it from the right point of view. It's to bring in those who listen to this kind of stuff to a kind of middle ground. Hymns, praise songs, and the like all have their place. You need to realize, however, that this music isn't for everyone. Why not put on wolf's clothing to trick the wolf? Did God put a label on certain chords? No, you did. Just because you don't like the style doesn't "logically" make it bad. Remember that. Oh, and look up the lyrics next time you're on.

This is not of God...Why? Because we are supposed to be separate and come out from amongst them. We are supposed to walk in holiness. We are not to change for the world. This is not Holy Ghost inspired.

You ever heard of black metal? its the darkest most 'evil' sounding type of music out there and i can name 6 or 7 christian black metal bands... let alone all the other christian death metal and fill in-the-blank metal bands out there. That's the whole point, you don't have to uphold a certain "look" to be a Christian, being Christian simply means you have a one-on-one relationship with God and you follow what He wants for your life, it has nothing to do with how you act or what clothes you wear, or how you part your hair to the side.

Just because you dress a dog up to look like a cat doesn't make it a cat. IOW, just because it sounds "evil" compared to your worship music doesn't make it evil. And what is worship music? Is it the music that makes it worship? or are the words more important? Whether you are saying "God is awesome" or screaming it

I'm all for Christian rock and rockbands if their hearts and minds are in it for the Living Lord. But i think they have to put more thought and effort to production. for instance i can say "Jesus Loves you. " in all sincerity with a small soft voice, but perception changes when you Scream at the top of your Lungs "JESUS LOVES YOU !!!" with an angry screeching tone. I'm a Christian, but i listen to- Some songs- by Pink Floyd, Def Leppard, Kansas, Fleetwood Mac, and others.

Its not the music thats Christian, its the lyrics the musicians write that glorify God that make a band Christian(theres no such thing as a "Christian Em chord" or a "Devils Note").
Music is universal and is meant to show expression, not to take sides on which religion is right, that once again is lyrics.

While I agree on most of what you said, I'd go further to say that there is no such thing at all as "Christian music." Music doesn't have an eternal soul that gets saved, people do.
Now, that doesn't mean that all music created by Christians is wholesome, or even good for the listener. A good definition of "Christian Music" is: music made by Christians for the glorification of God, and/or edification of believers, and/or to reach the unsaved.

Good point, Christians can make music for the glorification of God by giving him the credit, my point with one statement was to say if youre going to verbally glorify God, then you need the lyrics to match that. After all Jon Sebastian Bach(famous composer of music :classical)even initialed ITNOG(In the Name of God)after every song he composed to give God glory.

The type of music has nothing to do with their beliefs. They are a Christian band and this is how they reached the audience that digs their style of music. I'm 51 and these guys rock. So grab a burger and soda and sit and listen to the words.

Quite bluntly, It reaches people who don't like pussy ass christian alternative. Besides, God doesnt care what the stuff sounds like as long as its purpose is to give glory to him. Did you know that back in the 1700's, the pipe organ was only found in pubs and bars and stuff? it was the most brutal instrument around at the time lol. We have to adapt to a changing word if we're every gonna reach anyone. We can't just stay locked up in our churches all the time.

This is not telling people what they want to hear; its message is one that revolves around God. Also, this is not Christians conforming to to secular music, it is Christians using a "secular style" of music to give glory to God. Essentially, we've taken something from Satan and turned it into something we can use to praise God with.
By the way, this isn't really even that heavy; try looking up 'Antestor'... christian black metal.

That being said you're also forgetting that Christ commanded love and grace upon all. Remember that He died for all sin, especially that of the believers. He did send a sword against the spirit of anti-christ and to declare war upon sin and death. Not the people of this world. Saying that any work of God, or inspired thereof is heretical is a serious claim, and one that should not be said idly.

Maybe you don't look at it from the right point of view. It's to bring in those who listen to this kind of stuff to a kind of middle ground. Hymns, praise songs, and the like all have their place. You need to realize, however, that this music isn't for everyone. Why not put on wolf's clothing to trick the wolf? Did God put a label on certain chords? No, you did. Just because you don't like the style doesn't "logically" make it bad. Remember that. Oh, and look up the lyrics next time you're on.

The only thing you have to do to realize this is God inspired is read the lyrics. If they were in it for the cash, they wouldnt call themselves Christian, would they? that alone shows you this is a ministry. We have to lead by example, how are we supposed to do that unless we gane the respect of nonbelievers on a personal level? dMemphiz, do you think a band like casting crowns, or third day would be able to reach out to the same crowd as this band? God uses bands like this to reach the people that contemporary/conservative Christians wouldn't be able to reach. Thank God for Embrace The Eternal by Embodyment, otherwise I'd still assume that Amy Grant was the sum of all Christian music.

this type of music reaches out to a group of people who want nothing to do with, im sorry, but candy ass christian alternative or worship music. If i were a non believer, i would think its awesome that christians can produce a sound like this and i'd probably take a closer look at christianity. On top of it all, what makes you think this inspires anger? It just gets the blood pumping unlike normal christian music; its the lyrics and motive behind the music that decide weather its good or bad.
