someone asked me if i saw him in philly (the question was 2 years old). no, i saw him in the jimi hendrix experience in portland, or with jonny lang, kenny wayne sheperd, and some other legends. they all stood back, with their egos in check, while Hubert Sumlin took the spotlight. Awesome.

But, when Hubert Sumlin played, , it was a whole

different kind of Blues, and tears came to my eyes.
