    what rep range do you do and do you focus more on heavy or focus on getting the reps

    because everyone says at least 6 reps for hypertrophy and i think you must do some since your a really big guy :) love the channel

  • i think 1 and a quarter pause squats at submaximal weights will help also by activating and strengthening the VMO

  • problem with atg squatting my calves hurt...i started descending slower and it got better but its still there :( i consider my atg squat form to be very good why is that? :(

  • He seems to be rotating forward alot, wouldnt it be better to open his feet and widen his legs a bit further

  • go watch the "so you think you can squat" series with matt wenning on elitefts channel, brilliant tutorial on the squat.

  • i use the "do the adductor machine as you squat with my female clients, as it'd be a bit odd if i said show your crotch" i also do a similar technique to belt squats but using a short jump stretch band, half of my clients looked like bambi on ice when they first got squatting they now pretty much all have sound technique !!!!

  • Best advice would be loose the fucking belt, stupid knee wraps and get your flexibility back. Deep ass to grass squating is way to go.

  • @m5p944 they arent knee wraps just sleeves, i tore my acl and have a lot of pain on leg days normally. there just there to keep the joint warm. and the belt is only for my 5x5 workout that i do for 2 months of the year

  • I have the same problem but with DEADLIFTS, as I'm coming up, my knees buckle in, would I do the same exercises?

  • Just a hunch, but the cause may be due to his body weight leaning too far forward. It is quite impossible to not invert the knees like the guy in the video with the majority of your weight on the balls of your feet.

    Check for core weaknesses, hip restrictions, hand placement (He's using a wide grip which doesnt activate scapula adductors) or anything that causes weight to be displaced forward.

  • @TheShootersTouch Very true, if you watch closely you can see on the way up he is bending over then relying on the back to pull the weight up slightly.

    I didn't see much of a body lean at all. Depending on your height you are going to have to have some degree of hip angle to squat correctly. I've had to correct quite a few 6'+ football players who couldn't do a good deep squat at all because some 5'6" guy at the gym told them to keep their back vertical.

  • i'm recently got a pain appear under my heel (plantar fascia) and I think it's because i've been doing leg exercises barefoot. also might be because i'm bowlegged.

    i've made a video about it and will put it as a video response. if anyone has any advice for my problem i'll appreciate it

I think i may have pulled a rear deltoid or the upper part of my tricep where it ties into the bone, not really sure. How long should do you think i should rest? seeing a doctor is kinda hard i lost my health insurance.
